How much does CS impact your off-line life? Have you been late to work because you were reading/posting before work or stayed up too late on CS and over-slept? Do you log on while you're at work just to take a peek? Do you discuss CS with your off-line friends?dunno

Personally, I just randomly log-in. If I can't sleep, It's ok because I check-in.

I log in to record my game scores when I feel like playing. Sometimes I read the forums, post sometimes... there's no schedule. I just do it when I feel like it. Doesn't impact my real life. I got my priorities straight. Anything real life comes first.

wave No, none of those, but it is still real life. Watching TV
is real life, instead I am here, after all it is just banter, nothing surreal about that. imo.

That's how I feel and I'm sure plenty of other people will agree.

It doesn't impact anything off-line. Not as a discussion topic or even much of a thought through out the day.

Yeah, sometimes I discuss the topics which come up on the forums, or interactions with friends/colleagues who are not members.

Sometimes I take a peek when I'm on the train, or on a break to see how a discussion is developing. Sometimes I google questions which come up with work colleagues on my break. Sometimes I read a book, or stare out the window.

I don't see it as a bad thing to talk to people physically in front of me, or online. I don't see it as a bad thing to obtain information from the internet, or people physically in front of me. dunno

I might be guilty of sometimes neglecting housework in favour of a good read, or discussion, though.

It doesn't really affect my off-line life, but if someone is talking about something which rings a bell on a subject I had taken an interest in here I would comment on the fact.

I do like my morning routine on here though......bitta scrabble over breakfast...lovely!!!

When Chat was a feature, and there was a good crowd in, and the craic was good, I often stayed up much later than I should have done! laugh

I don't log in at work.

My friends know I am on the site so I've mentioned it on occasion.

I find it more sociable and iinteractive than a tv screen, so have swapped over.

And since I have made great RL friends because of CS, the impact overall has been very positivethumbs up

I use CS when I'm at home and do (or would do) read or watch TV (which I rarely do). I also have a peak at break times at work.

I wouldn't spend time on here when I can be out and about with people. conversing

Obviously I can take or leave CS with a click of my mouse. It doesn't control my life indirectly.

Sometimes I discuss CS if the mood hit me.

In the ways you have mentioned it has not impacted my life at all. But as an observer in life that is always thirsty for knowledge it has broaden my mind. If I see something I have not heard of I look it up. It also has taught me more about human interaction. wave
