In response to: Interesting, but I think most protestant churches would not appreciate being lumped in with the Catholic church. All have independant doctrine.
c'mon Gnome, you can do better than this - each and every one of em believe their version of the God/Jesus myth to be the ultimate but theys a still talkin bout the same fellahs
I know, but how do you separate the subjective from the objective ?
I could start hearing the voice of god, but even if I did I'd be like "Jebus H. Crust! I'm hearing things!". And he'd say "It's me! God!" And I'd be "Right, that's it, been workin' too hard, time to head to the pub and get some of the good stuff in".
Or the entire earth could suddenly fly into the centre of the sun and yet we'd all survive unscathed. However, it could be just a mass delusion, or some fairly fancy ET's with a wicked sense of humour. Or God. I think I'd go by Occam's razor here.

Yes, pretty much the same God.
Of course using your inimiatable logic Islam And Christianity and Judaism are all the same since they all "talk about the same fellah" right?

I don't. Just stir it all up and enjoy the mix.
I don't 'hear' God, but I do feel or sense the devine presence around me at all times.
I suppose if the earth did go thru the middle of the sun and we all came out uncathed there would be no end of 'experts' explaining how it was all a 'natural' occurence, nothing devine.

I'm not offended. I picked that one because it was the easiest. I assure you I am not normal at all! God, I hope I'm not. That would be so dull.

All scientific evidence shows that God is imaginary. So does all historical evidence. This leads any rational person to conclude that Christian beliefs are pure mythology. Christianity is just like every other mythology that mankind has dreamed up through the ages. Amen.
