The Beat Goes On Drums keep pounding rhythm to the brave La de la de deee La de la de daaaa
When you have reached the edge by far History has turned the page by far We still wanna hear a brand new thing uh huh We still need a song to sing uh huh
Chorus: And the beat goes on And the beat goes on And the beat goes on And the beat goes on And the beat goes on And the beat goes on
Drums keep pounding rhythm to the brave La de la de deee La de la de daaaa
Love is the first thing, last thing on my mind From tonight till the end of time
Chorus
And the beat goes And the beat goes And the beat goes on
Drums keep pounding rhythm to the brave La de la de deee La de la de daaaa
We Still move to a rhythm just like this We Still dream of sharing our first Kiss
Chorus
Drums keep pounding rhythm to the brave La de la de deee La de la de daaaa
World keeps turning faster everyday (everyday) We still will dance the night away
And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on) And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on) And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on) And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on) And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on) And the beat goes on (and the beat goes on)

OK, I just woke up, but I'll try to wrap my head arround this.
You concede Faith. Ted Bundy is a good case in point that None shall come to Heaven but through accepting Jesus. It's not something you get just because you are raised in a church going family, YOU must personally accept it. Compassion is an aspect of Faith, but not the definition of Faith.
Your argument makes the assumption that Faith is instilled in the masses. I propose that Faith cannot be instilled but must be found on a personal level. A person's intellect is not the measure of thier degree of faith, or it's reality.
As TRish is pointing out today, we must be wary of assumptions.

All of the conditions you list are the same qualities I find in the true Christian. They are at peace with themselves, and the world around them. Having this compassion, and having experienced this Grace, they are often compelled to attempt to share it with others, to try to communicate it to them. Some do so in passive acts of kindness and charity, others stand on a soapbox and relate thier experience. Some attempt to mentor, others to lead.

Yes, component's of life are awareness of the pain, suffering, etc. But there is also Joy, beauty, and happiness. Not quantifiable, measurable, or perhaps even definable, yet we all experience these things. If life were an equation to be solved, one would spend it shut off from life seeking the undefined variables, only to find that they ellude him since he has shut himself off from experiencing them. Like a sunset or the scent of a rose, the experience is more powerful, and meaningful than the definition.

Trish...I hope you will join me in denouncing the article you placed on this forum by Dan Barker for his bigotry and mean-spiritedness. I think my arguement deserves this consideration. Thank you.

Like I said, I just woke up, and have to work tonight. Give me a break. Still think faith exsists, so must therefore be figured into the life equation if one insists on working the problem.
