the removers

Down on forest row
the removal van turned up
is this number 13 he asked
ah good time for a cup
well after 60 minutes
the crew begin to start

the street was very quiet
as they started to unload
when frank the youngest worker
dropped a large vase on the road
tsk tsk the driver said to him
now that will never do
go put on the kettle son
and make another brew

by now a little gathering
had come to see the fuss
the tables and the chairs
went in easily
just as well it did so
for it was time for tea
next came the sofa
the tv and the bed

all was going good
till poor frank banged his head
tsk tsk the driver said to him
now that will never do
while your counting out the stars
go make another brew

the job should take at least 2 hours
but this was hour 5
but only a half a load to go
between the toilet usage
and the tortoise shell like speed
people who were watching
brought books out for a read

now the best bit of this saga
is just about to come
when they tried to get the wardrobe
in out of the afternoon sun
but it got stuck in the doorway
as they pushed and shoved with might
the crowd looked with jubilance

and cheered with loud refrain
push it shove push
and do it once again
now down the road the Glum family
sensed how to make some money
so they sent young Glenda glum along
and she began to holler

come and get your sandwiches
each for just £1.50
ham and cheese and sausages
pies and rolls to follow
hot drinks and some lemonade
and thus she did a holler

the movers still continued
when a £20 note
was spied on the floor
underneath the wardrobe
one could nt ask for more
so push they did

and it began to move
with a great heave
up it went
as the movers
dived for the money
but what goes up
must come down

with a brilliant stretch
he grabbed the note
now all you see
is a hand and note
and the wardrobe
which he is now under....
