They say what goes up
must come down
be it whatever
that may be

Only this planet
we know as earth
has that
capacity

So if its true
then when i pray
what goes up
must come down

So when a prayer
is S.O.S
or ever quiet
whispering

Or a petition
fervent and bold
answers will return
as does the rain

Just see the prayers
of faith arise
reaching the heart
of God

Like the dew ascending
up on the mountain side
so our thoughts
ascend on high
