shes waiting for you

she dimmed the lights lit the candles
took a bubble bath curled up in bed
she is thinking of a plan for her man
for love she wants him tonight
looks in his eyes from a picture on the wall
it's 8pm he gets home at 2am
thinking of what she's gonna do
standing at a mirror with a scarf
drapped around her like satin sheet
prancing around with a big smile
wanting to call his work
but its 9pm he'll be home soon
lays back down closes her eyes
get a little sleep for she can't
tosses and turns and opens her eyes
and sees her man standing beside her
but its only 945 she's wondering why
she grabs his hand for he doesn't move
she gives him a hug and goes right through
telephone rings
she turns the other side of the room
telephone rings she picks it up
Hello ma'am is this Molly
this is your husbands work
there's been an accident
he won't be comen home tonight
he's right here she said
turns around looks over her shoulder
for which he has disappeared.
he had fallen and broke his neck
there was nothen we can do.
frozen in place the phone drops
and the candles burn out.

Kickit....this is very haunting....and so well composed as a narrative.....the ghostliness lingers. Well done.
