I spent last Sunday watching the libertarian debates for about seven hours. The debates were actually on Saturday, but I taped them. The candidate selection and vice president were chosen Sunday. Gary Johnson and his vice president Bill Weld won.

i see some poets are resurrecting some of their older posts, i think its a great idea, so, i thought i'd repost some of my favourites too...
I have really gone a long way from VCR to DVR. No tapes to store and a better image. The time it used to take to fast forward through commercials is a real time saver.

I could go on for a long time on this topic. We had a shooting at a plant in Columbus, Indiana on March 10. An employee shot his boss and then himself. We even had the top safety guy come out and tell us how to protect ourselves if there is an active shooter. Run, hide, and as last resort defend yourself.
It seems for some that ones life can become intolerably lonely as the years catch up on us especially those living on their own. Have you ever thought about your own future and where you might be?

Just got done watching a documentary about rape in the military. 20,000 women and 20,000 men are raped while serving in the armed forces while the perpetrators go unpunished. Now we are going back into Iraq, it's all pretty sad.

I have the day off today which I am thankful for. There are certainly people with worse days than this. Like George Carlin said, "What do white people have to be blue about? White people have to realize their job is to give people the blues, not to get them."
Current events have shown yet another person is guilty of using stardom as a means to get their guilty pleasures. This poem I hope sort of captures the feelings of being scared and not listened to when they tried to raise the alarm, and now years on they can unburden the guilt they carried.
