Long, long ago, in a jungle far, far away..., as a teenager, I used to love reading the Tarzan novels,[heck, I still do...], Anyway, the king of the jungle taught me an interesting take on life, In one of his earliest adventures, as he was crossing
I was watching the Breakfast Club and how the criminal was saying mean things to the other students in detention. At the end they were all buds.
When the darkness covers the streets. And families are safe in bed. Out comes the people of the night. A world all their own. They don't care for the light of day. Or the structured lives some live. With beer in hand and laughter on faces.
Throughout my life, I have tried to understand the feminine spirit, Sigh..., yes, I know, ladies, its mission impossible, However, every now and then I get glimpses, however small and pathetic they may seem, of that inexhaustible labyrinth we call.
This happened to Madalena, a sweet friend of mine living in South Africa, just a few days ago…:- Madalena: Im off to Northen Cape to visit X___[her son], he works there. Two Saturdays ago something terrible happened. Z____[a friend of ours] and h
Did some reading on UFOs and have always been fascinated by this topic. Maybe some day in my lifetime they will come out of the shadows and appear on David Letterman or The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
I wrote this one in response to being the runner up in a contest, it was logged in the Library of Congress in 2003.
I made some money working overtime today, though I'd rather have my time back to do some things that don't cost me a dime, like playing video games or watching my dvrs.

did you catch my 'ordealing with'? one of these days, not today, I might pen something filled of non-word words...
What shall we do today if tomorrow does not come in it's usual way? Now that the line is drawn what shall our world be like come the dawn? The powers that be are toying with the future of a terrible atrocity which is about to unfold who know

Found this in an old notebook from 1990. I was in college back then and working at Hardee's. Plenty of time for self reflection in between those two pursuits.
After the school shootings on Valentine's Day, I have been researching teaching and what led to this and many other shootings in our schools. I got out in 96, as I taught and got bulldozed over by those kids every day.
Saw two people standing with signs advertising 20% at Kmart today. The wind chill must be below zero. I am suprised they lasted this long. My job was cut two weeks after one of these Walmart superstores opened in 2006. For every one of these Walmarts that open, 300 jobs are cut from the community, and replaced by 330 Walmart jobs that have far lower pay and benefits.

I wrote this poem in my spare time. I am naturally a deep thinker and when I was young, the Internet did not exist. Neither did mobile phones for that matter. I remember black and white TV in my early childhood. The Internet has opened a new world but in my opinion, there is the good and the bad. Children are more exposed now than ever before to the negative that social networking sites and the harm they can do when it comes to bullying. This is a very important issue which should be controlled by parents and gpvernment bodies and taken seriously. Yes, children will lie about their age and many other things to join facebook and other networking sites but they shouldn't be able to until they reach a certain legal age. Some people have strong characters and simply ignore nasty comments and can handle them. Other people are not so strong and this makes the vulnerable. There are a lot of scammers and wicked people that will not stop at anything to deceive honest people on dating sites or simply steal personal information to put to bad use. There is no point in pretending the Internet is all good because we are all intelligent enough to see what is good and what is not. I hope you enjoy my poem.
It seems with all the cell phones we have rammed up the bullying behavior of people. I read that suicidal thoughts are on the uprise in America. I do miss the innocence of the 70's and 80's when I grew up before all this bad news on my heroes came out. How long before they find something on Will Smith.
Who are you? So proud and tall! You speak of freedom, For one and all, A wise man, It is said, Learns by past mistake, Are we less of a fool, If the change we don't make? We are not the same! And never have been, For all over the world, An

Kind of a few pent up feelings.... Lol! XD
Just started reading a book on the ineffectiveness of most charities. As this is the time of year to give to charity, I found it very interesting on how the number of charities has grown since our founding with the pilgrims. They now number 1.4 million.
I go to about two movies a month. I also have Netflix that I get about eight movies a month. I also watch movies from the library, and my own collection. My latest movies are Bad Grampa 0.5 and Little Fockers.
I would love to go live next to nature, hippy style, for my last few years(or however long higher powers have granted me)- but they evn charge you to die, let alone live!- this poem expresses my frustration at the situation- 'urbania' is a expansion of 'suburbia'- to cover ANY urban sprawl or town...'dragon' is a reference to a life horror i allegorized in my oem 'dragons domain' also on here... my only means to reach my goal is my pen, and selling the produce of it, which makes me feel rather like an intellectual prostitute- you just cannot win, can you?...Yurs cost over 3000 uk pounds, Tipis not too far behind- there's my dilemma...
Everyday at about ten in the morning, The same thing happens over and again. The same people as usual go out, Leaving behind wives and children at homes. Still the earthquake does not shake the ground. As the evening nears, the same people Head

It's sad...
I wrote this poem out of frustration with all politicians who refuse to admit mistakes of any stripe. P.S. Not trying to be political, not trying to offend, it's just what I feel.
rld continues its merry way On second thoughts it is not so merry Imprisoned in this Hologram so blithe All is in order or so it seems But the order is not our making Helpless in ignorance sleeeping Like lambs gamboling in spring We rejoice in
I have quite heavily borrowed from another poem for the style of this one, although not quite so much in content. I am not a postman but I have been in situations that allow me to identify with this one.
I suppose this is about going along with the crowd and not stopping to question it.
