Possible job cuts have been announced where I work some time next year. This song has been playing in my head since. The original is by Ray Charles.
Most people (ignorant, so to speak) immediately assume that all hispanic immigrants are good for nothings, that they belong in the rice fields. Little do they know, hispanics in general are labor ready workers, hard-workers, willing to sacrifice whatever it is necessary to provide their families with daily food. They're underpaid and disrespected, this poem was written in honor of those great men whose fruit is the product of their labor.

A parody of Going to the Chapel. I had this coworker back at a job I had up till 2006 and he would do this constantly. He did get written up once, but still continued to do this. I figure he worked about half his shift and the other half did stuff like this to get out of work and he was the highest paid. He was also my favorite coworker which shows how bad some of my coworkers were.
I was listening to a cd book by Glenn Beck and had to go to a different cd that didn't deal with the minimum wage debate. Are there employers out there that believe as I do that workers should be properly taken care of?

Written 6-2-07 while serving 90 days for a probation violation. I was writing about the inmates. I wrote over 100 rhyming stories about everything in the jail. I stayed busy.
Regretting my job decisions I have made in my life. I think really the thing that haunts me most is my acute shyness around people. It has plaqued me my entire life. I am jealous of people who have social skills and smarts with tools.

Too often companies will forget all what you've done for them creating an all about them, which in turn pushes away good employees that have heart in their job's.

At rush hour in any town, people race, people frown, bloody hell they'd knock you down, like soldier ants on a quest, from here to there no time to rest, catch a bus, catch a train, stand in line in the rain, bumper to bumper on the motorway, a

Worked another mandatory overtime day today. I would much rather just put in my forty and be done with it. Actually I rather win the lottery and not have to put up with it at all.
Have worked for over four months now at my job. I have had my time with crappy jobs. If you have a good job, I admire you alot!
Had to work again on Saturday. They made us come in late which really sucks. I am used to leaving at 1 pm, and once got to leave at 10 am, that was neat. They have an old Rick Dees Top 40 countdown on from 7 am to 11 am. I listen to that on my first break. One song was Bryan Adams Summer of 69 from 1985.
I wrote this July 29th 2007 after a really long day. And thought to myself, truck drivers need a lil pat on the back from time to time :)

Self reflection into a busy life...and a search for its meaning.
An experimental poem with many deviations, I am sure, as an example of benefits of learning from my fellow poets how to write terzanelles, pantoums, etc. It is up to them to decide whether this particular poem is a terzanelle or not. Any comments are beneficial, therefore very welcome.
