My heart, my fellow traveller It has been decreed again That you and I be exiled, go calling out in every street, turn to every town. To search for a clue of a messenger from our Beloved. To ask every stranger the way back to our home. In th

Seemed like a suitable subject for the current popular acrostic poem format...
The ice cream truck.
Just look at me, I came from madness To bring a wisdom To this crazy world! Just fall to me With thunder From the spring sky, And burn the happiness! Just turn me on, Probably I’m dying Being fallen So deeply… Just fly with me, I

Hurt you can leave now Loneliness I'll show you the door You've out worn your company You won't wear me out anymore Regret you can be quiet now And stop lassoing the past Sadness you can go to a devils hell That's one place you won't take me
Tis the season!

The above poem was published in 1977 in Beacon©, a "Limited Edition" (1,000 copies) rhyming poetry book with black on white watercolour illustrations. In 1979, I had an "Attack-of-conscience" which caused me to remove the remaining ~ then selling like hotcakes ~ copies from the Portland, OR marketplaces that I had established...LOL...just prior to ordering a 5,000 book, 2nd Edition printing. If you are one of the original Beacon© buyers, your Beacon© book is worth ~ at least ~ three times what you paid for it then. I wish that the author was...LOL... Yes, I am the still the original Russ Miles.

You who demolish me, you whom I love, be near me. Remain near me when evening, drunk on the blood of skies, becomes night, in the other a sword sheathed in the diamond of stars. Be near me when night laments or sings, or when it begins to dance

I wrote this poem at school when I was about 14 or 15 I spent a lot of time on it rhyming the 1st and 3rd lines plus the 2nd and 4th lines in each verse. I secretly continued writing it even during my maths class... hence I wasn't much good at maths Lol. I used this poem to help me in the practice of o*al English and elocution lessons... hence I ended up learning it off by heart and rewriting it later in life. It was particularly helpful as I was dyslexic and terrified of reading out aloud.
