Jeeze, I forgot about this one. When I compile my list of poems to go into my book for publishing, this will be the starting poem.
Puzzle time
Basically a poem about unrequited love. He knew my feelings but, we had spiritual differences that preventing him following through on mutual feelings (because he was actually flirting with me for almost a year, and admitted caring for me)
Correction: Didn't realize that only 3 lines in each stanza - duh!! Attempt at Haiku but afraid not a very good one. Not really my kind of poem. Happy Father's Day tomorrow to all the Father's out there. Kathy

I want you to do the same... 5. verse or free rhyme - no profanity, vulgarity, or adult stuff 6. Write from your heart... We learn from one another the only wrong you can really do as a writer is not write. 7. No negativity here. If there is a negative comment you are out... and that has never been me- Be professional and comment with encouragement. 8. Type in your author notes "I read the rules!" 9. Comment on at least two poems in the contest and post their poem url in your author notes. 10. Have fun! The picture is the prompt. Write.

I wrote this for a poetry contest back in 2014. I got an honorable mention. This was written in A,B,C style. Each line had to start with the next letter of the alphabet until you have A all the way through Z

Just sweet & sad thoughts of home fill my mind as I sit alone looking out of the window,watching the few sparrows braving the cold ( past their bed time ) to eat the crumbs.
Listening to Hugh Masekela's Stimela, one of my favourite jazz compositions, the song is basic enough being just two chords but the trumpet playing is out of this world.
