I wonder if she feels a twinge of pain
when I think of her
sometimes she is a heartless thief
though somehow a soul
in all its beauty
for she only robbed what she gave
knowing that her eyes
will never have that same look for me
her heart's vulnerability
turned to stone
can that statue crumble in time
will the light of the long night wane
can we ever be
free again
once having known nothing but
each other's confines

Who is the new girl
Where can she be
Who is the new girl
That will take away her memory
I'll keep watching
For her to come along
As the story of Frankie and Johnny
Is just a fading song
Who is the new girl
Where can she be
I'll keep driving on a two lane highway
I'll go walking on a hiking trail
Someday I'll see her as she comes my way
And then there will be a new love story to tell

About this poem:
Coming off of what is a pretty hard, one sided, breakup....just feeling off thr top of my head....not complete...it is
just something that I don't have to think about
I always knew that the girl I would love
would have a way with words too
I didn't give her my admiration like I should have
I didn't tell her how good I thought she was
because all the time I was trying to tell her
the best way I could and I failed
to let her know
and that's the most sorrow

A Short Valentine's
Roses are red and violets are blue.
Nature’s beauty for me and you.
A florist wrings is hands in glee
as he raises his prices just waiting for me.
Our love grows stronger as time passes by
so there’s no need for roses to go and buy.
My love I show you are in simple ways
making tea and gentle kisses throughout each day.
From when we first met, to present day
You were God’s gift to me, there’s no more I can say……………………………………

Two Ships Passing...!

Two ships passing through the Night,
searching for that one that’s right!
A love that’s really fantasy,
Just need someone to be with me!
Someone to touch, someone to hold,
Sometimes this life can be so cold!
Cause being Lonely is a drag,
Just need someone to make me glad!
Hey, I’ve forgotten what it is,

hey I’m on fire lying next to you!
We speak not saying fancy words,
but know your partner really heard!
So tell me is it wrong to be,
