Oceanzest

The silver back of midnight

We sit on the silver back of midnight
a haze in from the Aleutians
where God left a twist
of scale and immensity
with the moon hanging surely
above the creaking dock
timbers dry and seasoned
we cast lines into the wake
and drink from the home-made wine
under the mighty canopy
we are star fueled
philosophy flows
while the crabs scuttle
along the shoreline

FLOW WITH CHANGE

WHEN THE WIND OF CHANGE BLOWS,
I SHALL BUILD MY OWN WINDMILLS,
DANCE TO THE MUSIC, ITS DIRECTION PLAYS.
I SHALL FLOW WITH THE "CHANGE"
AND WITHIN THE "CHANGE", CREATE MY OWN WORLD.

It's Weird

It's weird how
Shiny silver raindrops fall
from black clouds.

It's weird how
Silkworms turn white
when they eat green mulberry leaves.

It's weird how
Moonflowers open at dusk
without a poke from anyone.

It's weird how
People I ask laugh and sky,
"Nothing strange in that."

It's Weird
Beauty is nature's fact : )

Life principals

IN LIFE.....
Work for
A CAUSE
Not for
APPLUASE
LIVE TO EXPRESS
Not to IMPRESS,
Don't strive to make your presence noticed, JUST MAKE
YOUR ABSENCE FELT.

About this poem:
Life is simple and i have learnt to take it very lightly, it would really make sense if we all learn to abide by this principles, at all it is your life.

A New Dawn

She calls…
A silent whisper of cloud
Drifting across the lake…
Toward the brilliant trees

She calls…
A screaming silence
Heard by the birds and flowers
And the consciousness of slumbers

She calls…
And we all inner hear
The gossamer of her voice
Permeating gently our delicate souls

She calls…
And we arise again
To the uncertainty of the new day
Excitement and fear…
She calls!

Calm

Just like a tree has calm after the wind blows. It just waits until yet another wind to dance it's dance of joy.Never to complain about the amount of dance it must do, fast or slow it's willing to go.Because that tree knows that it's calm must come.Ever so fast it leaves may fall, well maybe it was all in the plan never knowing where their leaves may land. Ever so slow it's beauty is like magic to ones eyes. They flow back and forth never know what song will be next. That tree will dance it's dance knowing that it's calm must come.

Troubled Planet. (southmiami Haiku Challenge)

depleting woodland
global warming increasing
nature sadly mournes

~~~~~~
climate change rampant
oceans evaporating
clouds cry acid rain
~~~~~~

behind the smiles...angst
behind prosperity...debt
behind it all...greed.

Species

So busy covering ourselves up
in threads
The pleasure of two parallel
stripping sexes

About this poem:
Clothing - such a lot of work! But one can learn to appreciate it properly when one is dressing for someone special and near. Adam and Eve weren't hiding, they were the merely the first stripologists on Earth.

Stately Rose

Embedded image from another site

Oh how beautiful you are
waving on your stem
a perfect picture
to behold

your attar floods my senses
so sweet and fragrant
deep musky scents
that beguile me

Embedded image from another site

your hips full and plump
rose water or tea I make
or rose scones to eat
a chocolate I savour

standing in stately splendour
full blooms reaching skyward
I pluck one so that its
perfume I can extract

Embedded image from another site

how can I not admire thee
as you climb up a wall
or smother a fence
with wonderful blooms

you creep alone the ground
or soar high into the sky
stand upright in beauty
you have it all to show

Embedded image from another site

so many colours
all different hues
Rose, I worship thee
as my soul you delight

About this poem:
my favourite flower
Medicine
The rose hip, usually from R. canina is used as a minor source of Vitamin C. The fruits of many species have significant levels of vitamins and have been used as a food supplement. Many roses have been used in herbal and folk medicines. Rosa chinensis has long been used in Chinese traditional medicine. This and other species have been used for stomach problems, and are being investigated for controlling cancer growth.

Trees

Different shades of
yellow, red and green.
They are in front of
you for all to see in
their glory.
Look out your window
and up to see the trees
bending down to meet thee.
They raise a branch as
if to say how do you
do in there own way.
Just listen to them one
day they play music in
their own way.
Trees have life for all
to see, but you must look
and listen quietly for
all the possibilities
that are there for thee.
