A White Shadow (Double Reverse Etheree)

The shadows of the forest beckoning
I wander down under ancient trees
that stately stand guarding all
cloaking the hidden secrets
from eyesight in the gloom
hearing a rustle
high in the trees
there perched
you sit
still
not
moving
a statue
until to wing
you swoop through the trees
not a sound do you make
a white shadow in the dark
you land nearby, your hoot rings out
another hoot in the distance
answering you fly off to join your mate

Fire And Rain

Fire and rain - two things we require in our society.
We need fire to keep us warm and power industrial
Furnaces, for generating electricity and manufacturing
Various goods, and we need rain for our existance on
This planet of ours - an important commodity, that we
Are slowly running out of, but there are dark forces with
These same two friends of ours: during the summer months
Fires break out in bush areas threatening homes, people,
As well as animals. Yes, this good friend of ours turns against
Us and threatens our lives and everything we have. Water
Is then required to fight the fire, which causes our dams to
Deplete. There is also another enemy, man himself, creating
These very same fires, a lit match dropped or cigarette butt
Or even worse than that, children or arsonists lighting fires.
Yes fire becomes a fierce enemy to man, but our other friend
Comes to our rescue and eventually saves the day. The story
Is not over because the hot weather creates large rain clouds
As the barometric pressure drops, storms break out and the
Rain comes to cool off the hot temperature, but if it does not
Stop raining it could cause flooding and even worse, massive
Destruction as the dams overflow and floods valleys and
Towns killing wildlife and many people in it's flood waters
What saved us before, the Rain, now turns against us
Forcing people from their homes and destroying properties
Over large distances. They rely on sandbagging towns
Till the waters abate. Then finally the rain ceases, and we
Are all safe again, which all goes to show that fire and rain
Can be enemies or friends and we all need to stay prepared
When it comes to a an emergency, it could be a matter of life
And death, seeing two sides of our friends:
One good - the other evil.

Over the Sun

Providing light over the world everything glows,
With nothing hidden the entirety shows.
People wiping eyes from the star shooting beams,
Breaking from the cloud and all of it's seams.
The only darkness is the shadow behind a lone tree,
Keeping that section away from the light with no decree.
This is the sun at its current state with one cloud around,
Even if all is tranquil with the life on the ground

The Majestic Black Panther

You walk with graceful pride with every stride. Fur of obsidians black shine and eyes of the moons night glow. Like a ghost you instill fear with remorseless fury. Mysticism surounds you as a loner you are. The night, the dark of the moon, unbridled expression, the all powerfull symbol of life, death and reburth.

Woodlands Undergrowth

There you are again almighty and in disguise
Crawling through the ruins of the undergrowth
Stopping, listening to every sound, watching and waiting for a rise

The slightest glimpse of light makes you freeze
as only in darkness you move around with ease

She was once your queen
back in the pharaonic been;

Now you seek her out once more
In the undergrowth at the woodlands core.

Coyote Moon

Coyote in the moonlight
whispering steps on forest trail
to find this mountains peak
and unto night here speak
songs written on the moon
by the hand of are ancestors eyes
for some dreams are old as time
climbing the soul of vine

Ever

Ever dance upon the sand?
leaving wayward footprints
no one cares
where they stand

Ever smell the wet of leaves
as trudging though
Waitakere
hugging trees

Ever floated in the sea
no cares
and gone are fears

Ever looked at sunsets
then looked behind
for no one
yet all was fine

Ever tried to answer
yet no words would spill
yet at another moment
you picked up the quill

Ever cried alone?
knowing all was good
as you sat
yet a temple you stood

Ever wrote a poem
that all was you
then here I am
I bid you adieu

Look to the sky

...
Right before the rooster begins to crow
The lights come out with with intentions to show
There's more to the mystery than you know
The seed was planted long ago
Coming from an unfamiliar height
Always in sight and shining bright

Look to the skies, realize
The lies you believe inside your mind
Your still standing behind an imaginary line
They drew for you
if you only knew
Victims to the games they play
Forced to believe the bullshit they say
Twisted contradictions contradict the mind
So they drew a line to keep you behind

They hide the truth that is to much to handle
But this flame won't be put out like a candle
Don't trust your ears they can often deceive
What you see with your eyes you can always believe
Without manipulation or a shadow of turning
The light is brite, always burning
Cloud by day, fire by night
Your not alone always within sight

The Falcon

My Spirit floats in the ether
It follows the falcon’s drift
She rides the thermals beneath her
They cushion her wings as she lifts

Ah! Would that my body could soar
Be light as the air, as is she
In perspective my views as I tour
Perhaps, somehow, look down on me

She lends me her wings for a space
Can she know that my soul flies with her?
Does she ever look down on my face?
Will the rapture expressed there transfer?

Of course I know this is fancy
That she would never think thus
Her mission to feed her young family
Their frail lives placed in her trust

Yet, I can’t help the feeling
As she ever swoops through the air
That while she is sweeping and weaving
We are somehow entwined up there

Paradise drive

1.7 miles down an old gravel road
Where the deer keep the grass cut just like it was mowed

Driving down paradise drive
Makes me feel free and reminds me I'm alive

The river is my therapist it gives me peace of mind!
It's the closest thing to heaven That I find

You can find me lost out in the sticks
Hunting for whitetails u can call it my fix

Theres nothin beter than the great outdoors
I'm beter off here than out chasin whores

The campfire is my kitchen
It cooks beter than my xwife and It never starts bitchin

Under that old oak tree Layin in the shade
Livin the good life got it made

If ya want some of what I'm lookin for
Beter hit the woods can't find it at a store

Time and time again like I've been here b4
It always keeps me comin back for more
