talking trees

if trees could talk,
I would jump
up in the air,
sit upon it's branches

a talking tree
I would say,
cradled
in so many arms

you root deep,
to the earth's
embrace the stories
to tell

drawing within
nature's beauty
whistling souls,
calling in anger
raging storms

whispering in calmness
voices rustling
in the leaves,
gentle speaking

open arms
praising the sun,
to the heaven's
praising God
the dirt
upon his
earth

To A Cricket

Little cricket, little cricket Praytell me your happy tale,Or is it a sad one,my cricket hiden behind a vail. I cannot see you, little cricket. But I hear your sad or marry song. Oh if I only knew my cricket, The meaning of your singing quite long. You sit there day and night, little cricket rubbing together your wing. How little you seem, mycricket. How mono to monus to me you sing. But still, little cricket in rythm until your three. You are small my little cricket,But still large in my mind. Your song by ours is as fine.

Rainy Day

The rain fell relentlessly
falling down in curtains
blocking things from view
cloaking the world in mist

Trees with near streams
running of their leaves
silvery puddles forming
joining together with others

An incessant sound of drips
drumming out all other noise
then a gleam of hope appears
as the sun weakly starts to shine

It bursts through the clouds
drying up all the landscape
droplets on leaves glisten
perfect prisms reflecting

Watching through

She sang upon to me
and I thought
the guest was me

Entertained for moments
seeking that view
as all that was so cool

He sat and bent
reached the flower
and we clicked

pic the fool

yet got him
on the stool

sucking morning
to rest his mind

we watched as
his baubles

bent in crown

To whisk away
the wings
of sound

Bird Songs (sonnet)

Listen when you awake at crack of dawn
hear the chorus of all the birds singing
watch them as they scurry and dig the lawn
until a nasty cat sends them fleeing

How dull and bland without any birds
silence would greet us with it's bleakness
less colour everywhere, half mast halyards
how lucky to have birds to add brightness

So many feathered friends around
delighting us with their wonderful songs
the sound of harmony our souls surround
for the sweet mellifluous songs prolongs

Tunes everywhere blending in harmony
sweetly combining sounding like honey

Jellyfish

Embedded image from another site

Floating about
effortlessly
red dome with tentacles
unbounded sea

Crystal red jelly
sea nettle lions mane
protecting yourself
stinging spines
burning most everything

Jellyfish
in water of light
sparkling dome bubbling

Floating among shoals of fish
red flame pulsing
the seas medusa
waves gently move you

Sea water shine
leaving no trace
sea cardinal
shiny as steel

Water at edge
float by my feet
may you have safe passage tonight
sea sage of silky movement
ever changing shapes...

Waterfall

Sun was gleaming, the wind was ending
walking through forest felt something near me.
I felt no fear and carried on walking heard a a stream flowing
thought whats watching me,I looked and saw a bird chirping
as happy to see me.I stopped by the stream and looked to see a beautiful waterfall with a pretty maiden swimming was in love
and could see it was like we were meant to be.
Then I felt an amazing flush as my love was there waiting to be found.

To A Tree

In Olive there is a tree I know perfict, strait and just so. Like a clean minded person with a life so high it towerd prowdly in the sky. It was plain that old tree, but yet beautyful to see. When I saw it my chest filled with pride And each time it was more beautyful to my eyes. I travled that road one day and before me Olive lay,And when it came in sight my eyes streached in vain. Lest that old dear dear old tree so plain. But I saw nothing towering agianst the sky. As I looked in wonder tears came to my eyes,That dear old tree was gone forever. But it shall never leave my peaceful mind, no never.

4 Hauki 's

A simple daisy
yet exquisitely formed
white and gold abound

My blackbird follows
me around in the garden
cheerful tune emits

snow white so lovely
you poke up your head through snow
snowdrop glistening

a robin redbreast
tugged at a juicy worm
he was so pleased

Train Journey

I sit here by the window
and watch quietly
as the train moves along
Outside
I see land -
wild beautiful land
still untouched by man
and it creates within me
a feeling of freedom
that is wild and boundless

The beautiful trees
in many places
so closely clustered together
though of mixed species
seem to cry out
a message of love and unity
to all mankind
I see flowers -
plain simple flowers
there is a beauty in them -
the beauty of simplicity

There are children on the hillsides -
the country folk
people call them
My heart sings as I watch
They know us not on the train
but yet they wave at us
and we wave back at them
because their action is filled
with some sentiment
that is pleasing to us

Shimmering little pools of water
pulsating with life
appear and then vanish
out of sight
but the picture of life
within them
remains with me

The cows and the horses
graze in the pastures
some sit
others browse slowly along
O how I envy their leisurely
pace of life!
