quiet crickets sleep
under wet Autumn leaves
summer forgotten

Where are all the frogs gone that used to hop in the field at the back of my home
Where I used to collect tadpoles and keep them and release them when they were grown
Back into the field where new grass was sown,
Off they would leap 3 ft in the air,
To see one now would be very rare,
Now they have built houses where the frogs used to live
And now I won't see them in that field.
I could never catch one I wasn't up to their speed,
One day I hope to spot a froggie one day
I may even give one a kiss,
By peach.

IN LIFE.....
Work for
A CAUSE
Not for
APPLUASE
LIVE TO EXPRESS
Not to IMPRESS,
Don't strive to make your presence noticed, JUST MAKE
YOUR ABSENCE FELT.

About this poem:
Life is simple and i have learnt to take it very lightly, it would really make sense if we all learn to abide by this principles, at all it is your life.

the smell of rain intoxicates me
teasing the senses
its arrival a blessing
a yearning
a desire
to quench the unforgiving humidity
that saturates our daily lives
in this summer of fifteen
a smell so fresh
it entices me to search
seek out its existence
check its validity
explore its progress
understand its nature
respect its journey
patiently I wait
like an excited child
just before chrissy
anxious
hoping
wondering
if the simplicity of rain
will be delivered
on the breath
of its own perfume......

Today I told my dog
"You've gotta make something
of me. What are you going to do?"
She just huffed and hawed.
We cuddle in perfect synchronicity
but when it comes to the rest of life
she'll pull one way while I
pull the other or just
fall over.

As the weather softly turns
Beckoning in the Equinox
Clusters of colourful bulbs
Dance and sway in the breeze
Eagles swoop up on thermals
Flying high until they are specks
Golden feathers gleaming amid
Heather glowing white on the hills
Indigo skies with puffy clouds
Jutting into various shapes
Kale drift by lazily snapping flies
Luscious grasses adorn the meadows
Mushrooms appear nestled under trees
Nightingales sweetly sing in Spring
Osprey dive deep for fish
Plunging in time and again
Quaint old fashioned flowers
Radiant with rainbow colours
Spread rampant in the beds
Tulips dip and bow in greeting
Under the hosta's a dormouse lives
Velvet nose twitching the air
Watching out for birds of prey
Xanado bathed in sunshine highlights
Yellow buttercups which coat the ground as
Zenith of Spring soon now will fade away.

SURELY, MY IDEA OF HEAVEN! I GET IN MY CAR AND WANDER THROUGH THE STREETS! WHEN I SEE SOME HOMELESS; I GIVE THEM SOME EATS! THE YOUNG GIRLS, ARE AT YOUR BECKONED CALL; TO GIVE YOU o*al, OR A QUICK BALL! STRAIGHT GIRLS ARE GREAT; WHEN ON A SCHEDULED DATE; BUT WINING AND DINING, DOESN'T ASSURE YOU OF A LOVERS FATE! WHAT MORE CAN I SAY? IF YOU'RE OUT AT THAT TIME; YOU WILL HAVE THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE; AND IF YOU START ENJOYING IT; THAT'S SURELY, NO CRIME!

The words flashed across the screen,
I love you, please don’t forget
The last words heard on the phone,
“ I love you, good night.”
He was on a journey
out of touch
he’ll call every night...............
ya, right
s e e y a
silent phone night after night
worry grows, is he all right
p a c i n g p a c i n g p a c i n g
a note to his sister, his sister replies,
“Oh he is just fine, he calls every night.”
wham, bam, Thank ya mame..........
I run from the room,
to do, to do, what can I do
to comfort him to hold him, to tell him my love
Ireachtothephonetoschedualaflight
then laugh, for I know not where to go
how do you hold the mist
when the mist is in your heart
My friends, my friends
you’ve read all my words
my passion on fire, my romance inspired
and he walks away, the one I desire.
and why I ask you, why is this so,
what have I said to make him go.
I walked the abyss without looking back
he said I could trust him and now I must laugh.
I fall, I fall and look for his hand
ah yes I should ask, it’s probably a woman.
could any woman love him as I could today
his beauty entices, but that will not stay.
I thought him a cripple when first we did meet,
I cared not, his soul was the treat.
end of rhyme, end of time
“Sassy” returns, a logical poet
with a heart filled with passion, untouched by his hand.
I know that one day to this board he’ll return
he’ll drop by and visit and spin his own web.
and he’ll write but a poem, perhaps a song
please guess not his name, you would be wrong.
And if he should read this
perchance in the future
I have one thing to say
one message to give him.
“ I love you, please don’t forget,”
“I love you, good night.”
Don't ever be afraid of passion

She was a slippery frozen mermaid
Just sitting there on a mossy rock at the edge of the creek
She was so relaxed and unafraid
And I again I searched and found what I did not seek
She was with me for just a while
Oh, but how she made me smile
