INFERNAL COMBUSTION

Four seasons in one day,
a song no longer, but a prediction
Four seasons in one day,
will because of our hydro-carbon addiction.

consumed by noise

The sound of iron on
Rolling tracks
We travel to detinations end
into are world we sit
Are ears consumed

Noise bellows all around
the clatter of sound voices heard
laughter screams
consumes ones ears
Oh to sit
and drewl
To hear silence once more
Are ears deafend by the sound
We reach destinations end
Are ears consumed by sound around

Shadows Of Time......

A tick-tock a magic clock, the hands connected to minds that divide days ,with a consistency that always was an always will be, a driving vision that sets forth the birth of new life ,the seas will fall an stars will rises again, water will flow like a wheel that spins with the help of the stinging wind that will die only to start again an again...........

POP- UP-WATER-FEATURE

A dull sky, heralds a storm
Atmospheric signs, rapidly born
Springs an outcome, to shake
A flood-plain, as sterile lake

Isolated-barren, gradually fills
As heavens water, downward spills
Zig-zag lightening, links the two
Turns earth-sky, dull grey on cue

Bird life, drops in to share
Pop-Up-water-feature, with care
Rain-fall ends, soak away begins
Return-to-flood-plain, removes din

Happy birds, a short time dipped
Lush bottomed water-bed, beaks nipped
Tasty morsels, trapped in wait
Nature's smorgasbord, for quick break

Short-term-feast, memories will make
As a human favourite, treats and cake.
Returning sun, brings rainbow perfection
Normality resolved, at nature's direction

Life so precious, balanced unique
Visual scene change, genuine treat
For humans and wildlife, who share
Earth given lifestyle, for all who care

A New Dawn

She calls…
A silent whisper of cloud
Drifting across the lake…
Toward the brilliant trees

She calls…
A screaming silence
Heard by the birds and flowers
And the consciousness of slumbers

She calls…
And we all inner hear
The gossamer of her voice
Permeating gently our delicate souls

She calls…
And we arise again
To the uncertainty of the new day
Excitement and fear…
She calls!

The Old Tree

It is strange
how things that we see
and take for granted
in everyday life
should suddenly instil in our minds
a new awareness
of their presence.

A silent moment
a brief pause
from life's ever quickening pace
a moment of peace -
In times like these
a common thing
like a dried old tree
becomes alive with beauty.

It stands like a quiet sentinel
who has witnessed many an event
through time.
Time has passed by but it remains
silently standing there.
O tree!
What secrets do you store
in your noble branches?
How many events have you recorded
that man knows nothing of?

In your younger days
when you wore your mantle of green
you nested the carefree birds;
to their offspring
you gave protection.
When the sun scorched the earth
you gave them cool shade.
On a cold windy night
you gave them warmth.
How pleasant was their song
to your ear
as they sang a song of thanks
to you.

You were a playmate to the children.
When they romped at your feet
or climbed on your branches
you smiled.
Time grew older
and the children became lovers.
You saw them kiss in your shade
soft with the light of the moon
The aura of their love
touched your leaves
and you blushed.

Today
they have all gone away
but you still remain
silent sentinel
still waiting and watching.
How many untold events
have you witnessed
faithful keeper of secrets?

O that my soul could commune with you
and share of your rugged beauty!
Most noble tree
forgive me for my
once-waxen eyes.

Gravity pulls
From outer space
Expands are universe
Gravity waves

Hidden from view
faster faster are universe expands
To the far edges of unknown space
To the black hole
are gravaity pulled
Gateway to hidden space

SEASON CHALLENGE.....

Through the timid, autumn day sun
Tree's clad branches, breeze may run
Gold's and red's, instead of green
Speckled beacons, not summer supreme

Curled and scattered, leaves fly free
Escaping from tethers, secure on trees
Changing scene, heavy rain now soaked
Soon branches naked, not foliage cloaked

Dull-brown, will surround a winters earth
Until the springtime, for a season's birth
Only then will warmth, fresh sunshine send
Stirring flower seeds, as nature's friend

To enjoy seasons, as they adapt during time
Numbering four, without defining clear lines
Overlapping to merge, whether south or north
Both hemispheres rotate, nature brings forth

Life and death will play, their separate parts
As nature performs, like a creature's heart
Turnover of seasons, nature's rhythm alive
Every aspect of creation, as an oceans tide

Whether mountains or valley's, beauty supreme
Gift to all human-animals, a privilege seen
Knowledge that this gift, can be taken away
Change of attitude now, challenge of today

MOODS OF THE WIND

Blowing softly like an angel’s wing on my cheek
Oh that feels so lovely and sweet
Like a lover’s light kiss to my ear
Whistling softly sweet words of honey and dear

Roaring in anger and beating rain on me
Screeching and screaming loud as a banshee
Dark clouds looking like the end of the world
Racing across the sky in angry swirls

Brisk with crisp cold tones
Like a heart made out of stone
Dead still – not a sound at all
Silence making one feel very small

Playful swirling dirt in one’s face
Before moving on to another place
Racing around and around you go
Where you will stop no one will ever know

Wonder what your mood will be today
Angry - happy or just plain okay
Whichever mood it will be
I’m sure that you will always find me

~Day of the Riot~

~Morning arrived as it did other days, yet this one was different, as my feet stuck out the end, yes the end of the blankets that covered my head, while my arms were in fold with that pillow of foam, I reached down below for that good morning stretch, muscles that read on that richter scaled graph, a slice of the sun moved through the drapes, hands to the wall face looking up, sigh of relief and a barking loud laugh, sleep from the eyes on that facecloth they lay, now that mug topped with steam pleasured the sight, cat doin laps round the left foot then right,

Then the day of the riot had now simply begun

My face cut the breeze like a hair splitting knife, that water ahead made adrenaline flow, paddle in hand bringing sweat to my brow, in the distance that melt yes, that's where it begins, the reason that's why this moments afloat, bow's in full slap as forearms in wipe, trouble ahead peripheral sight, that smile that starts when you first kneel down, knowing the water as you feel it below

That,
white waters no friend,
nor the rocks in the wall
the ones in the river
some were set
some did fall
from the top of both sides
and all the way down
the best part of all
they'd made not a sound

as

Adrenaline of love's, against all the odds~
