We Share The Same Sun

Shimmering over the still frozen lake
Through open branches in the trees
To the delight o' all the little violets
Bending gleefully in the breeze
Swinging your heads with such ease
Dancing 'cross the forest floor
Of all the flowers found ‘tween the trees
Touches me by long slender stems more
For I have fallen down for all to see
How helpless does my heart bleed
Do whatever that you please
Swinging your heads with such ease
Dancing little violets on the breeze

Love has no color

love has no color
when God created man He never said this is the color
when God sent His son He did not choose color
when God sends rains He does not choose any color
His love is divine and He does not choose any color
Why do you and I use color even when loving
God shows us that love has no color

Sparrow In The Woods

Light is air your breathe
In the smoky morning mist
Your song floats like a feather
A voice hollow as your bones
Singing into the wind
Towards the clouds
You fledge your wings
You flicker in the sun
Playing tricks on the shadows
Interwoven on the ground
You... my trusted companion
My sparrow in the woods

The Movie Of May

The sky is so very blue
Leaves on the trees are so very green
Then the sun comes shinning through
And a day in May unfolds this scene

I like to watch the movie of May
It wasn't made in Hollywood
But still amazes me
For it's so good so very good

The birds fly as though it's the first time they have ever flown
There's a peaceful feeling as you walk along
On the porch I enjoy the mild mannered breeze
Month of may stay forever if you please

There's a stream that sparkles like gold in the sun
And now is the time to have some fun
And there's so much more I could say
About the movie of May

SILENT BEAUTY...

Special time when sun must fade
To praise nature, nights beauty made
Light dims, sun loses strength-heat
Dreams waiting, soon earth will sleep

Peace overcomes, buzz was day
Muted colours subdued, not gay
Sky merges-dark broken by stars
Moon a lantern, guiding you far

Across land, farmland to sea
Lapping waves, shoreline acts free
Breeze stirs wind chases clouds
Silent beauty, understated not loud.

Rain

Rain
Knows my thoughts
before I think them.
Can finish sentences
that have not been spoken.
Taps at the window,
gently speaking
sweet messages.
Softly plays on the puddles,
making spiral rings
that reach for the edges
of the silence.
I am peaceful,
and less alone,
for my pain
is soothed by the rain.

NATURE'S MIRACLE.

As a cut out, imposed against the sky
Mature tree features, climbing high
Blush colour, background and frame
Shadows of tree, can twilight tame

Instead it leaves, a sinister chill
As night picture, frame it fills
Haunting skyline, statement made
Till daytime ends, account paid

Darkness drops, colour leaves scene
Shapes draw eyes, waiting the sheen
Of breaking dawn, bright crystal rays
Daily miracle, explodes to a new day

My Own Sunrise

Embedded image from another site

" My Own Sunrise "

Here I sit
beneath a melting sun
As I watch the moon rise
I slowly come undone
With frozen eyes
that steal the world
And I dream of a life
I dont deserve
From within my soul
I feel I've died
Wasps fill my head
killing the fireflies
That I've tried so hard
to protect
I wonder
Will my heart
ever beat again
Because Its filled with love
Yet lacerated
Quietly dark
and somewhat jaded
But if I do my best
Will You forgive
May I taste Your clouds
and kiss heavens lips
Before I fade away
into the night
I count my blessings
then become the light
With my eyes upon
shooting stars
Where my earthly body
is no longer scarred
Then with hope
I look up to neon skies
Inhaled the darkness
and drank from the sunrise
Swallowing parts of me
I will always own
But this hell was never
meant to be my home

About this poem:
What is the good of your stars and trees, your sunrise and the wind, if they do not enter into our daily lives?

SOUL OF NATURE.

A time when artists, paint the sky
Flame of darkness, guiding eyes
Colour palette, masterpiece holds
Plums-pink-slate blue, also gold

Stirred a cauldron, fire explodes.
Sunset time, when nature's bold
Weaves threads, dark from bright
Snuffing candles, that gave us light

Coating earth, as sky takes flight
Artistic brush, flies a devil's kite
Dance across heaven, to peace
Warning daylight, gift on lease

Smothered colours, fade to die
Listen carefully, as nature sighs
At nightfall, a mask can control
Protecting mother nature's...soul

Snow Is Falling

The snow is falling down and once again a icy wind is blowing
There are lots of people pottering around with cold hands, warm hearts and face's that are glowing
And children enjoying splish splashing around the slushy puddle
For me there is nothing like a cold wet windy winters day to make one miss, wish....
one had a loving partner to hug..
snuggle up to, and cuddle :)

I sometimes wish i was a bird so
free to wander, soar on high
To fly off to wonderful, warm peaceful places, with beautiful scenery to bless, astound the eye

Migrate to a sunnier climate
with bright blue skies

And yet, with all that said....
I must admit i think i'd possibly miss the haven of my home,
and the comfort of my cosy bed !
