Diamond Blue Ocean

Oceans color diamond blue
Something so
beautiful
Can be so dangerous
too
As I listen to the waves pound against the
shore
I wonder how many stories lie on the oceans
floor
The ocean is like a revolving
door
Many come and many
go
It's sad to think of all the
tragedies
and catastrophes that have happened
here
If we only knew of all the secrets the ocean
holds
So many stories to be
told
Yet this beautiful
Ocean
Can have such a calming
effect
Makes me sit here and
Reflect

Eungella.........

Rustling leaves and birds
That's all I could here
As I sat on the roadside
Not far from the tier
The canopy of greens
Sparkled with delight
As the sun burst through
The blanket of mist holding tight
The odd roar of a vehicle
As it made it's way along
The narrow winding road
To the heavens and beyond
Moss covered ancient trees
With an orchid or two
Leered out of the canopy
With an amazing view
Peering down the valley
Like guardians serene
Magnificent in stature
Beautiful to be seen
The air clean and pure
And as cool as the night
A welcoming breath
For lungs uptight
I could sit here for eons
But alas I must go
My memories of Eungella
I will nurture and sow........

Free Spirit

A wolf has a spirit
like no other around
They are very intelligent
always have their feet on the ground

I want to be like the wolf
roam this world day by day
Not a care in the world
except for who is my next prey

The wolf has a sixth sense
always knows where to go
Unlike me what I want to do in life
I may never know

A wolf is strong and cunning
triumphs over all
I am weak and nervous,
I try to leap but always fall

A wolf has their family
can count on one another
I have a backstabbing family
that has been eaten by our mother

We all have a wolf inside us
it’s time to set him free
To finally make a change
be the person I am supposed to be

RAIN.

Rain upon rooftops, music of life
Vibrations-patters, peaceful-delight
Memory reminder, feel-safe-at-home
Enveloped rainfall, serenity on loan

Evening stillness, allows time to rest
Draws you to a haven, safe-secure-guest
Leads to lands of sleep, stress forgotten
Warm-safe inside, when outside is sodden.

Reflection off the pavements, wet-opaque
Muffled footstep running, splashed shake
Life in steady rain, shelter is required
Settle into sleep-time, nature-life-fired

Life is Beautiful

The waves whisper to me, calling me to the soft sand.
The water sweeps over my feet, surrounds where I stand.

The breeze caresses my face, whips my hair.
The wind encloses my body, acknowledging I'm there.

The clouds clotting out the sun, turning gray with anger.
The sky no longer blue, a clear warning of danger.

The rain pelting my skin, as cold as ice.
The water seeping in my bones, undeniably concise.

The world calling to me, pulling me out.
The atmosphere thicker, it's my sorrow no doubt.

The waves grew higher, crashed over my head.
The breath blown away, unmistakably dead.

FRAGMENTED LIGHT

Bright crystal light, filtered by trees
Dusk closing fast, as flutters on breeze
Silence and stillness, bring great peace
Daylight and sunshine, on daily lease

Rapid twilight, as flame colours race
Tracing the skyline, clouds of lace
As fragmented lights, brighten sky
Night dimmers, snuffs day goodbye

SUNSHINE

Sunshine, life's primordial sustainer
Channeling to all, the sun's energy
Plant, animal, insect, fish or other
Without sunshine, not one of them would be

Sunshine can uplift your mood and spirit
When you are feeling gloomy and depressed
It can cheer you up to rise above it
And impart a pleasant feeling of zest

Sunshine brightens the colours of flowers
Making them come alive in their glory
It possesses some magical powers
That transforms plainness into beauty

Sunshine on the gently rippling water
Creates a display of sparkling diamonds
Reverberating like silent laughter
That induces blissful joy in response

MOSAIC OF COLOUR

A mosaic of colour, jigsaw of the sky
Slate blue to flame, atmospheric dye
Lovers of sunset, watching the change
Rotating colours, as-cooling-sky-rage

Fireball red, in molten halo of gold
Intensity of shading, a twilight bold
Silver speckles, mottled before divide
Night closes fast, burning clouds ride

As stars on wings, wait to light a sky
Moon will oversee, from positions high
Until dawn creeps, waits nature's sigh
Sun overcomes shadows, dark says goodbye

Welcome new day, shards of crystal bring
Cap the dawn chorus, as earth birds sing
White turns to gold, as sun gains heat
Dazzle of light, as newborn sunrays leap.....

WEAVING A SPELL.....

Early morning, when mist clings to trees
In wooded hollow, only stirred by a breeze
Close by, lapping of ocean weaves a spell
Image of peaceful security, nature sells

Nature after dark, can be a scary place
When misty wooded haven, changes face
As spindled branches, adorning trees
Stretch-catching anything, moving free

Vision is restricted, by cloudy skies
When moon and stars, stay hidden on high
Uneven ground, with scattered roots trip
As leaves and wet soil, under feet slip

If lucky light filtered, by a shiny moon
Looking down upon scene, uplifting gloom
Stars may twinkle, allow spiritual lift
In a place where echoes, haunt and drift

Yet on a peaceful morning, at waking dawn
Nothing appears sinister, a new day born
Welcome's hope, to caste its magic spell
AS warming sun convinces, all is well......

TWILIGHT PARADE...

Across the evening skyline, eyes scan
Beauty of a forest, untouched by man
Roll in the distance, are hills so high
Crossing peaks to reach, towards the sky

Now heads with speed, faded end of day
Light losing power, dusk comes to play
Creatures of the night, stir to enjoy
Restrictions and dangers, never annoy

Shadows grow longer, soon to be lost
Rapid changes, snuff at beauty's cost
Hints of red, as a burning sun must fade
Rapid the change over, on twilight parade
