three cheers for the blues

two dogs had I
I have to say
called one Hipp Hipp
called one Hooray

Hipp Hipp a husky
fearsome, true
Hooray a spikey
Kerry Blue

and so I built
my cabin small
we hunted game
from Spring to Fall

time moving on
from then to this
both moving on
to canine bliss

Yet most nights
I often pray
for my dear friends
Hipp Hipp.. Hooray!

Hipp Hipp.. Hooray!
Hipp Hipp.. Hooray!

Sea Fever

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.

I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull’s way and the whale’s way where the wind’s like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.

Metamorphosis

Before the rust forms between my cold bones
In a grave am I lost and gone forevermore
Only a name chiseled on the face of a rock
Dates made by the passage of time they store
Now laying down easy on the forest floor
The scattering of light that was set free
Soaring in flight as light on feathered wings
A light that is so pure and reemerging again
Escaping the traps of the past and all its pain
Bound up and recasted…..Metamorphosis
Brought up and restored and rebreathing
Everything muscle changing in form
Before becoming made into permanence
This is what it feels like….. to be reborn

SKY BLUE....

Ripple as movement, stirs the trees
Gentle ruffling, a cooling breeze
Whilst sun beats down, without a break
Paths and roads, continue to bake

Sky so blue, not a cloud to be seen
Grass and leaves, still brilliant green
Water, we're told in short supply
Tanker can deliver, many will buy

Rural rely on rainfall, filling tanks
River's water reduced, within its banks
Market gardens, and livestock need
Fresh sparkling water, so life can feed

As New Zealand, copes with the heat
Coming quickly, Autumn will beat
March and April, soon will send
Cooling evenings, with rain our friend

Ode to Psyche

You ballet
On wings ….
You serenade of
Divine poetry….
You soul of psalms
You wing
Prometheus
Unbound…..
You ethereal
Sensations—
You
Ambiance of
Meaning ….
You are Plato
In the music of
Forms ….
You rest now in
Silent whispers….
In the pathos
Of Literature………

The spring storm

The spring storm comes suddenly
dragging clouds along the night.
Calms the leaves
whispering surreptitiously,
joyful birding voice.
And starts a rainy dance
first, slightly for four p.
To suddenly strengthen madness,
to be a waterfall that knows its strength.
And when it stops - in an instant,
because it's time
to go back in seven mountains.
Lets the sun out of prison
spreads the scent of blooming lilacs.

Life

Life is fragile
Life is limited
Wonder why there is life
Does God feel lonely without any human life entertainment ?
Does God love to watch all of the suffering of the human life ?
It's a mystery ....
It's a misery .....
Life seems allright in the beginning ....
But it gets complicated and sad when the time goes by
It's just an illusion
It's not eternal....
But our spirit will be eternal forever ...
It's a mystery ...
It's a stage created by God to entertain himself
By human suffering and sadness ..
Eventhough we don' t admit it
Oh... life
Auooooo....( tarzan's yell )

Springtime

As morning sun crept up in the sky
The world and everything in it sighed
The beauty of the glowing warm golden rays
Promised the beginning of different days

The anticipation of a change was in the air
Giving hope that spring at last was here
The grass was turning a different green
Birds sang new songs on the wing

Winter’s scarred landscape beginning to change
Smoothed away gently with a warm spring rain
Sprouts of green were popping up everywhere
Bringing promise of color and thankful tears

All the colors of the rainbow were seen
Across the landscape a most colorful scene
Reflecting the promise God made a long time ago
Of the covenant He would and did on us bestow

Nature's Balance

Crystal bright sunshine, replaced by grey
Doubtful skies, replace sun's bright rays
Temperature drops, humidity forgotten
Heat respite, warmer clothes not cotton

Over-shadowed skies, reduced activity
Farmers need rivers, to reach capacity
Brown rolling hills, need rain's coating
Cracked-dry land, needing a soaking

Yet we struggle, when day turns dull
Nature's cycle, must refresh not kill
Day of heavy rain, is what land requires
Moisture gift, better than drying fires

After rain, crystal raindrops dazzle-shine
Maybe a rainbow arch, will be a sign
Nature, does her best to balance-share
Changing our outlook, lavishing care

IN All

in all of my search my heart has lingered through the dark times and thoughts has ran through my mind like blood through my veins , my days are longer and my heart pounds even faster , my choice is to stick by the little faith of surviving , a world so unsure yet so happy living so many confused in all we co exist and make struggle our companion for daily existence ,in all i;m grateful for the life i have and the one i've created , in all we live for the greater good .
