Tum tum tum

Tum tum tum
come to learn
hot is shine
we stay in pine
give me a coin
count the nine
I back in time

A Sonnet to the breath of Spring

Thy whispering breath breathes o'er the mountain's swell,
and caressing sweep along the green lush lowland's fell,
in full flush of day or in night's dark solitude,
oft with Warnerian power, or with Chopin's quiet étude,
wandering weave its hazy way, a dancing dream
kissing touch the rippling hillocks new sprung stream,
thus cavorts in gaiety the Zephyr's lyrical breeze,
gathers up the fragrant air, each evocative whisper tease
like as a violin that purls with quiet airs played fine
cosset the atmosphere like as embracing arms entwine
breathless travel, on Angelic soft spread silken wing,
bequeath forever, the perfumes of each scented Spring,

Thus in sightless guile weaves a wondrous spell,
Whence no poetic lines can scribe it's hues to tell.

About this poem:
Each Spring we're intoxicated with the new breath of life in its sightless wonder, regardless what part of the Planet we live in, fills us with the joy of life.

Afternoon Delight

At the end of a very bleak and cloudy day
The sun emerged to have the last say
Shooting out slivers of bright orange light
Before it retired itself for the night

Now there stood the canefields with flowers tall
And captured the rays to totally enthrall
Painted flowers no more than five minutes worth
The brightest orange i've ever seen on earth

The contrast unique in a very special way
Awestruck I was with nothing to say
The dark green stalks of the healthy cane
With orange flowers was kinda insane

Once again i witnessed the beauty of this earth
In the right spot to appreciate its worth
A moment in time as i was passing by
Ended my day with an amazing sigh.................

WONDERFUL SIGHT

White horses race, towards golden sand
Rushing to touch, as a strangers hands
Outstretched longings, excitement builds
Active ocean, full-fill-promise-thrills

Blue skies overhead, sends spray in breeze
Chasing nature, with great pleasure tease
Brings wishes as gifts, for future hopes
Freedom lovers of a world, given votes

Follow a cycle, of seasons through time
Raw beauty in isolation, sends its sign
Without man's intervention, nature alone
Will continue the sequence, only on loan

If abused by pollution, the man-made kind
Harsh in its dealings, crossing the lines
Killing what nature, gave as its right
Watch a returning tide, a wonderful sight.

Dark Rainbows

Dark Rainbow

Float high the notes o'er a spring bog
A setting sun which warms the soul
Crawling out upon some emerged log
Pops little eyes from out of its hole

Revive this life we thought was dead
Summer soaks inside our heart
Like rising out of a death bed
Emerges a new day like a fresh start

A soul that is waiting to be born
Becoming all smiles to be worn
Like the light after a passing storm
When all remnants of a cloud be torn

Ripped below and darkened at last
Dripping like rain on a sharp thorn
Becomes a shadow no longer cast
So many brilliant colors are worn

Right before our eyes we can share
Before rainbows vanish into thin air
Only then will we meet again
When another stormy day ends

LADY IN WHITE

A gentle cool breeze blew across the water deep
Drifting over the white sandy beach
Up on a slight hill looking down at the waves
Then staring out at the horizon far away

She stood like a statute her white dress in the wind swayed
At a distance a certain wistful air about her played
What thoughts went through her mind to sadden her so
Were they memories of loves lost a long time ago

A hat shaded her expression so it was not clear
Just exactly if these memories brought tears
The sky was blue and the sun shone bright
Yellow flowers at her feet a beautiful sight

All the beauty around her but she still seemed sad
As the wind whipped her dress and tugged at her hat
Why couldn’t she see and be happy with the day
With all nature’s beauty around her displayed

How many times do we ignore nature’s gifts
Standing on our own ocean cliffs
Staring far in the distance horizon sky
Wanting and wishing for the past with a sigh

the two trees

your fruit fell
from the branches
of your mind

and ripened soil
to flower sight
when I was lost
and blind

outstretched hands
that held
a nesting place
for birds

the creatures
that so intercepted light
when time
ran out of words

you were beauty
tall and proud
and free

that broke both
the horizon line
of math and science

and the restless heart
in me

FREEDOM POWER

Craggy coast, where sea-birds-call
Ride high on wind current, see all
Roar off water, spray engulfs shore
Raw-life-beauty, true nature's core

Sky reflects, deep ocean of blue
Peaceful life scene, humans few
Nothing silent, nothing still
Noise overpowers, eyes drink fill

Long grass beaten, breeze from sea
Swirls and lifts, nature runs free
Freedom power, respect God's gift
Control impossible,in beauty drift.

As night overcomes, sight supreme
Echo sounds, black not blue-green
Wind still wraps, blowing through
Fresh on cheeks, thought turn blue

Smell of the ocean, night-time-call
Waiting moons light, romantic pull
Fear will vanish, still hear roar
Of nature's power, to reach a shore

revisited.........

fog laden valleys blanket my thoughts
as distant mountains stand serene
it's been awhile since i passed this way
and prettier than it's ever been
patchwork canefields lay in waiting
for the harvester to reap their tare
as magpie geese forage the roadside
working hard to get their share
the morning sun greets the fog
to paint colours in the day
while drifting high in the sky
falcons scour diligently for their prey
recent rains have left the farms
green as green can be
and i hope i pass this way again
to once again appreciate what i see....
