Once you've cried out all the pain
Only then can you pick up the pieces again
An breath in that beautiful air
An breath out all that ugly despair
An dig deep into your memory bank
To personify the person the lord did thank
You giving to him a gracious soul
To fulfill his needs an repair the hole
Made from the light of blessing there
Where the souls are blessed an then they care
To move to the spiritual world where they belong
For your memory to seek when it is strong
For the tears of joy will set you free
An will allow for you to be
Overwhelmed by all an the possibility
Memories strong an clear an your joy free

As the years of life seek out
Your aches an pain
An make you endure
Again an again
Lifes memories
Appeasing your soul
Enduring the pain
Your only goal
What will it take
For them to try
An eliminate the pain
Before you die
What words said
Can conjure a smile
What deeds done
Will deter for awhile
The agony an ectasy
Of lifes way
Nuturing twilight years
The kindest way.

Your life changed when grandad died
Rivers of sorrow you must have cried
To be fatherless at the age of twelve
Unhealed scar you had to shelve
Two years later again you were torn
Abused by a relative for you so forlorn
Never believed or understood
Your adolescence you carried a heart of wood
At twenty you bore a son to an unworthy man
To be taken away from you embarassment the demand
Complicating history an your troubled life
Began to unravel when you became wife
For ten years you endured what you could
Raising four kids in third world neighbourhood
An when the old man decided to take another wife
That was when you changed your life
A heart of gold an history of hate
You believed your journey was god's fate
For your beliefs were strong an you gave your heart
To the lord above for you to start
A new life back in the country of birth
Four kids in tow to show your worth
You struggled your way through our childhood
For these reasons i never understood
As i sit an reflect on the past
It amazes me on how you did last
For you lacked support in many ways
But had the lord on those lonely days
Enveloping your soul an negating the pain
That reared its ugly head again an again
I understand now about all of your sorrow
Forgive me for not seeing earlier than tomorrow

Hate is what drives,
Hate is what feeds,
Hate is what lies,
Hate is what cures,
Hate is what leaves,
Hate is what digs,
Hate is all things,
But not me.
Hate wants you to react,
Hate wants you to not think,
Hate wants you to be impullsive,
Hate wants you to dig a hole,
Hate wants you to jump,
Hate wants you to never forget,
Hate wants you,
But not me

He did not see
That to be me,
I had to be
just free to be
In his desperate fight to have me his
he shredded my wings and emptied me.
My love for him will always be '
Just not the same as his need for me.
Such sadness comes when one holds tight
no air to breath
just possession and fight
To see a butterfly
flutterby
Its graceful beauty
oh so light
In a whisper watch it
poised so still
Freedom to love and freedom to flight

sometimes when we're lost, need found
wonderin' what happened back there
find ourselves dazed, lookin' 'round
what made us feel like this...despair
we know we should be grateful now
jus' want to turn this thinkin' 'round
but can't seem to get into it somehow
get these feet back on solid ground
where is that centered nirvana state
we think we can remember back then
just make these blues disappear...abate
peaceful before, wanna get back again
hands weighing tons are hard to reach out
fumblin' 'n stumblin', movin' a hard motion
when megrims surround the soul with doubt
when feelin' da blues is life's hued emotion
we all get da blues, in a friendless funk
but passin' through these pitiable times
hear eight bar guitars, our gaiety shrunk
wrappin' ourselves in blue quatrained rhymes
we'll make it past to sunnier days fo' sho'
so sing and hum and stomp, cry and moan
put dem blues down when we don't want no mo'
yet know with the blues we're never alone

today i gathered some clay. i took a large piece and formed a shape then closed my eyes and thought of my list of my companions qualities. with each thought and compromise i added a piece of clay, all the while my eyes closed and focused on my dream. when my list was complete i opened my eyes. i saw your face, i held your head in my hands, i kissed your lips. your essence i did not taste. it was not you, for i did not hold your head in my hands nor your interest in your thoughts. the bitter taste of the clay crept in and with it it brought the empty realization

There you were
Asking my forgiveness
And I couldn't think
Couldn't even breathe
The air so thick
With emotions
I didn't realize I could feel
There you were
Your outstretched hand
Like a brush with reality
I was unprepared to feel
Through fear and discontent
Heartache too severe
To articulate
I was paralyzed
By my own grief
So much so I had no sense
Or wits about me
Didn't we forge our own mistakes
When had I become so innocent
Why were we lacking in common sense
When we started this
And I stood aware
As the words poured out of you
That love was this lifeless body
In my soul
Whose eyes were downcast
Frozen; dead
Whose glazed expression
Bore the emptiness alone
And told of failed deliverance
Lying upon the doorway of truth
It was hard to believe
Everyone could see it but you
Didn't we ask for our own defense
The strong blade of preservation
Was it too brief our own discipline
To prevent these wounds
Truth needed to gather up these pieces
That bitterness tore
But time remained a distanct relic
Too encumbered, too slow
As you waited for reaction
I knew I had no answer
And from my doorway
I watched you go
And when you were out of sight
I felt the stirring
A restless twitch of the body inside me
Just once as I closed the door.

Tread very carefully my dear
There's little room for error here
Just stay near, don't interfere
It's best to let, what is, to be
To help me deal with my fear
You said words I wish to hear
but one screamed loud in my ear
that you don't realy care for me.

So much has changed on this once so kind place, what is going on?why that look upon your face?
Last time I was here we didn't have this mess,so many new poets, needing to get mess of their chest.
Now I know some of you are intelligent men with no need to fall into their snare.Dont let some imbecile's make you sound as if your not all there.
Bring back the love that I know is in your hearts,I know it,s hard to be the first to start.
Your to great to bring yourself down to that level your much too wise for that mess. After all when we become like THEM..we are no better I guess.
Ok well hope you all make peace, you kn ow thats the way it should be..sorry if I stepped on some toes, Excuse me for just being me.
