all dreams are gone

They took off in the wind.
Just like all the songs no one finished.

Nobody is kissing,
Everyone is sighing,
Tired and worn out from another useless day.

Every tear is done,
No hugs for anyone,
Just another song about another hopeless cause.

I no longer wish to live,
In this world of broken promises,
Where loved ones live in lies, then slowly fade away.

I just want to die,
And hope there's some sort of heaven:
Over the rainbow, lie down in meadows.

There's nothing left in the world.
All my dreams are gone;
I'm useless without them sleeping with me.

Goodbye, you stupid world,
Living for nothing, hoping for something,
When all you have to do is die to get your way.

I'm leaving tonight,
While the stars are bright,
So they can catch me in my tears
And fly me straight to heaven.
where tears wail no more

when the day is done

When the day is done
Down to earth then sinks the sun
Along with everything that was lost and won
When the day is done.

When the day is done
Hope so much your race will be all run
Then you find you jumped the gun
Have to go back where you begun
When the day is done.

When the night is cold
Some get by but some get old
Just to show life's not made of gold
When the night is cold.

When the bird has flown
Got no-one to call your own
Got no place to call your home
When the bird has flown.

When the game's been fought
Newspapers blow across the court
Lost matches sooner than you would have thought
Now the game's been fought.

When the part is through
Seems so very sad for you
Didn't do the things you meant to do
Now there's no time to start anew
Now the part is through.

When the day is done
Down to earth then sinks the sun
Along with everything that was lost and won
When the day is done.

acceptance

as the harm befell
I reached out in the dim
but....must I have had a cigarette?
I saw no evidence, being in the dark as I was
my fingers crept to the tray
...and yes
there it was!
barely smoldering
.I was grasping it
but instantly I felt aware
that I had been unaware of an amount of time
transfixed as it were
in the jolly goings-on
but then the event...
that....happened!
must have shot before me and carried me off....
a void_________
so perhaps fear or bearing had me reach out for my salvation
.....a cigarette
which now has taken me to this point
I draw upon the object of my salvation
..yes, it is burning...it is still burning
I puff
I deeply inhale my sustenance
all can now be abided, swallowed
whatever happens or has happened will be okay
just as long...just as long....

letting go

Everything just went dark;
I cant feel my heart beat;
My breathing is going down;
I hear people crying;
I try to scream;
But, I cant;
Why are people crying;
I cant feel my body now;
I’m totally numb;
My heart isn’t beating anymore;
I’m letting go;
I feel somebody push on my chest;
Somebody told me to go for the light;
They told me don’t fight;
I’m letting go;
My breathing has stopped;
A man in white said welcome home;
But I know I’m not home;
I asked him what happened;
And he said;
You let go;

To Sad

In my every thought, of you I’m aware
Trailing after me with your long dark hair
I call out to peace from the still of despair
The answer is silence, there is nobody there

Through the quiet and deep you possess the night
I Chant Mantras of Sanskrit in a plea to the light
To be held by love, tender and tight
For hope to be lit, gentle and bright

You whisper from dusk till the breath of the day
I beg you to leave but you always do stay
Your spectre dances as the shadows come play
You never rest so my fears can allay

You undid your suitcase upon my floor
You wear carpet slippers and have your own draw
With bony finger you point out each flaw
You empty my heart then come back for more

As I rub my eyes to dispel the dark
By soul blends obliquely into stark

Rock

I have always been that rock of granite.
Was always that go to guy to talk to.
Now I feel all alone on this decaying planet.
Looked to reassurance of something true.
You denied what was all important.
Something to give me strength was you!
That explains my sad rage and rant,
As those I've helped just won't come thru.
I needed encouragement to let me know,
There was someone that really cared.
It would have energized me so
And I would have been a rock quite
unimpaired.
I have always been a batholith of stone,
Stately shining at the canyon's wall.
Compassion and advice to set the tone,
Encouraging all to reach to be so tall.
Now the weathered cracks shatter.
The shards sloff off like old redundant skin.
From the manmade frozen ice and water,
It often seems that I just can't win.
The granite crumbles to the valley below
And slowly exposes my inner core.
I sincerely wish that you would know...
In fact I must compassionately
emplore.
I never meant to bother or hurt you.
I just really,really needed you to show,
That there was certainly proven true
Someone real to make me know,
So I could be your rock again.
I could be attached to something real.
I would then always be your friend.
Had to know it was not surreal.
Now as my inner soul becomes exposed
I pray it is durable granite, not fragile slate.
For though I be a mass so composed
Must endure the reality of
my fate.

Falling Tears

Tears are falling like the summer rain
Another break up, another dose of pain
Two lovers once they were but not today
Her day was blue but now its grey
Whatever happened she cannot tell
She never saw it coming, never heard the bell

But for many of us the same we knew
Something coming out of the blue
And it's true what they say, just give it time
And the painful memories will slowly fade
Then one day you'll feel once more
When the circle of love will knock at your door

what she told me

Im so glad we met
But you're nothing special to look at
I say the things that come to mind
Hope you have no problem with that

You don't have a chance in hell
What girl would want you
Sorry dude but you're a mess
Just chew on that before I spew

Im sorry for being so blunt
But you're way to nice
She will be so bored with you
She'll leave you without thinking twice

You must be dreaming man!
A guy with a kind and caring heart
Where the hell have you been
You're never gonna find your sweetheart

You don't have the looks
You don't have the brains
Once she figures that out
She'll know your to lame

Suck it up cause Im all you've got
The inner beauty you seek doesn't exsist
Stop writing down every word that I say
Know wonder why you've never been kissed

Just give it up your such a waste
You think that you're gonna find love
You're gonna need more help than that
Make an appointment with the man above

Tell him you're ugly
Tell him you're a disgrace
Tell him you're worthless
Tell him you're human waste

I feel great aren't you glad we've met
Go on and put up you're profile
Lets see what response you get
I bet you it takes awhile

I admit you are quite different
I'd love to see her reaction
When she views all your pics
And says theres no attraction

You have a wonderful heart
Your words will make her cry
She might be more than happy
To latch on to this pathetic guy!

junk

oh I wish I were a shoe
so many things that I could do
I could walk, step and skip
I could swallow my tongue
..wear lacy stuff
walk or strut, on a heel
kick stuff
tread on stuff
dance
run
oh my!
I'm exhausted...
oh please...I don't want to be a shoe

Growin' Up Moments prompted by 'The Willow Tree'

'Twas a sunny day, and a warm week-end,
Hard at play, just me, and my best friend.
As white as the snow, he and I e'ver did play,
"Bunny' is his name, 'twas simple as the day.

Floppy ears noted, with the help of a magic pen,
Silly me, he's tamed; knew him form the rest of kin.
Except for this day, to my bitter disappointment,
'Bunny' 'tis ne'er to be found; I wail; I lament.

Then running to the sound of the hide-and-seek tree,
I witness in horror, what's been done to 'Bunny' and me.
My pal, my bestest, he's the latest of animals progeny,
My Dad, I'm hatin', he believes he's providin' sustenany.

I "cry me a river," cause I am so unbelievin' sad,
At the loss I suffered, albeit at the hands of my Dad.
Were we that hungry; were we that so freakin' poor,
To snuff 'Bunny's life, of that I'm still not sure.
