" Running "

Oh to run and jump,
but not to fall.

To seek and find,
it is all good.

Just being able to run
and run and run is fun.

Jogging to run and run to
jog. To skip the walk it is,
all about the race.

We are running hurry to seek
and if you are lucky you might
~~ find me running ~~

i know this KIND, not the KIND KIND

CERTIFIED CURSE’S ASSISTANT

Did you know there are places our old folk are kept?
And if sadly they have no one else a guardian must decline or accept
If they choose to eat they’re served the cheapest part of the pig of course
However these elders aren’t aware that they may be eating horse

You’ve got your cocky little C.N.A.’s who think they have absolute power
And they’ll ignore the old people’s pleas at any particular hour
“You know, “ I said to one “Mrs. Wagner hasn’t eaten in more than ten days”
The C.N.A. responded “don’t make me no never mind ” and then she asked for a raise

Many of the Nurses are the same damned way
They don’t give a damn what the elderly have to you say
Cold sores, bed sores mount up by the score
But they say, “it’s five o’clock and I’m out the door”

So to wrap things up tidily some of those places will kill the old
And believe me because I saw it first hand and wasn’t just told
The C.N.A.’s run around not listening to what Mr. Hirsh said
Well perhaps they’ll take their job a little more serious when they find Mr. Hirsh dead

These professionals act without care or concern
So in school a lack of sympathy is the first thing they learn
The frail and elderly should receive mercy from the staff
Instead they are at thee mercy of the staff, and that ain’t no laugh © 2011.…Phreepoetree

guarded heart

I keep my feelings boarded up,
Behind doors nailed,
Blocked,
Screwed shut,
Down corridors,
Cold and black,
See people steal pieces,
And don't give them back,
My hearts missing parts,
Because of that,
Now I constanty guard
The rest from attack...

run, run, run

one foot two foot three foot four maybe more,
alarms ring within thy head at seven in the morn,
out the bed in thy shorts out the door to the sun i do meet ,
when its shining in the street i put my feet arms width ahead,
i run i run as fast as ten cheetas born into the wild,
how my body never lets go its worse than addiction
how i move how i run can you catch me old tom thumb,
or will you join me and run run run.

Invincible

The fruits of Life
The wealth of Love

The abundance of time
The joy of a smile

It can all slip away
In a blink of an eye

How cruel is fate
Karma is at stake

Slapping you from behind
You've been played the fool

You can close your eyes
Hide you head in the sand

But once you've faced life
You see what's planned

You can prepare yourself
Thru sickness then sorrow

Hold on to tomorrow
And maybe cheat death

You‘re invincible
But not to death
And now...
you can't catch your breath

Fear

Fear of the dark
Takes hold of me now
Afraid of the unknown-
Scared not to see
I cry out to God...See me!
Help me! I don't want the dark to come in
This one took me by surprise
I didn't know to be afraid...
Didn't know the Dark could come
Did not see it could happen
I was sure it would be-
My legs, or my hands
But NOT my eyes!
Oh God in heaven heal me
God above hear me
I need my eyes
Watch over me, heal my brain
So I can work, can do, think,
Care for my children
And love my family, my friends
The ones I love...
Please God don't leave me
in the dark
Amen

A Time for Letting Go

My one constant companion,
Throughout my adult life.
But soon to be abandoned,
One dark and dreary night.

Been through almost ev'rything,
Together thick and thin.
I can't begin to tell you,
The places we have been.

I know that I will yearn for,
This friend that I have loved,
Time has come for moving on,
Now push has come to shove.

What must be will be, although,
I'll miss my friend, you bet.
Now at last the time has come,
For my last cigarette.

Pretty Fine Day

Verse I

Woke up this mornin',
And that's always a plus.
Still up on top of,
The ashes and the dust.
No indications,
That I have woke up dead.
Guess it's okay to,
Get on up out of bed.

Chorus

It's a pretty fine day,
When I'm not feelin' too sad.
It's a pretty fine day,
When the pain is not too bad.
It's a pretty fine day,
When the wolves are all at bay.
Overall I gotta say,
That this is a pretty fine day.

Verse II

Up on my feet, yeah,
Both legs still workin' too.
Head to the kitchen,
I got coffee to brew.
Not on the street and,
There's plenty food to eat,
Just count my blessings,
I'm not yet in defeat.

Verse III

Got through the day with,
No new catastrophies.
No wants or warrants,
So I'm still runnin' free.
And if I'm sinkin',
The hole is not that deep.
No worries now as,
I drift on off to sleep.

Swinging Tui

Wicked as Wilding
Who only chose

to his
to put
it
he such
alone upon his

milding

O)h I'm strange

truly as you can be
lifting to always
no way to be

such a sleeze

covered on today
washed with yesterday

I'm saved!

Bat all you lonely ones

sleeping on
the wasted sands

weep

that only pure of heart
digs at times

The wealthy minds..

Who shall but hold my hand

Yet one to smile and rest

I lived
he said

For all ribbons
that lay silently

smooth
the righted castles

upon
the bed

of points

my arrow
never felled

to which stage
I felt
So Scared

Yet walked away

no money
to be feared
