Let Me Fly

Though you can not fly with me -

Don't drag me down,

Let me fly!

Though you worry I will fall and die -

Don't drag me down,

Let me fly!

Let me fly, babe, let me fly!

* * * * * * * * * * * * *

Cut your ropes, untie, let me fly!
I dare to touch the sky.

Wings - unfoldered and open.
Fear - emraced and broken.

Who is coming with me? - I invite.
You will see rainbow colour of white.

About this poem:
I wanna fly, don't ya stop me!

I am in the wrong world, even more, I got stuck on the wrong little island with mentality back 100 years. And you know, I am not tired of growing old! My mission is to make the world a better place, to leave it better than I found it. And I MAKE changes I am proud of. When people say "But what can I do?" I always reply "Stop saying But what can I do and do something!"
I am a paralegal Consultant, I am a Human Rights Defender, I am a Challenger of a State I live in, besides, I am a water rescuer and tonight I am starting my abseiling and firefighting course as well.
I do save people both from death and from abuse, I do fight and change the laws and policies in the Country I live. Yes, I know what you say, I am a superwoman. But I do not want to be less. It is the only life I have.

Dare to fly?

White colour consists from a rainbow set of colours. Far not many people can see it. Far not many people were born to fly either. When people of different levels meet, one starts to lift up another, while another starts to drag down the first one. Both of them are trying to match their levels to get along together. Until they rebel, one or both.

Bars

There are bars on my window
That mars my view of the park
The trees don’t talk, or listen
Like me, they just are
At times of high winds they whisper
Each one its own orchestral aria
Sometimes soft
And then with crescendos
Like passages from Holst’s Mars
But mostly as soft sad laments
Yet now stillness reigns
Somehow seeming a motion
That defies movement
Empty swings plead for children
As if they have an understanding
Of solitude and loneliness
A passing stray cat stops
And stares
With a look of apprehension
In eyes as dark as its fur
Its coat blacker than its shadow
For a fleeting second
We look into each others eyes
Then it quickly scurries away
Maybe it could perceive
The bars that imprison my soul

Blossom

I for one, did not miss
Your shadow as it crossed between
The two horizons that
Would seem to me an
Apparition of the past, yet I knew
You not well my fellow prisoner of
All that would hold us close and
Yet keep us strangers apart
For fear of a future that dwells in the past
Can only have meaning for those
That would not choose to live for
Today
So you came to me, not readily, but
With a heavy heart that bore
The consequences of a life gone by
And once again you chose the path of
Lonely existence for history would
Forever be your reticence, so like
The lonely Wolf
You vanished as you appeared, and yet
I would sense the sadness of your soul
But I would always whisper adieu
For some things are not for the capturing
And must remain
Forever blossom on the wind

Penzance to Exeter

It won’t take long
Not on the 12.42
It only has one stop
But oh! The view

Make sure you have your bag
That one where I wrote on the side
“Thanks for nothing”
I know you consider that sarcasm
But oh! The view

I packed all your things
A bottle of jealousy
That big can of bitterness
Your box of greed
Oh and not forgetting
A trunk full of hatred
I know they weigh heavily
But you carry them so well

Did you take that picture?
The one where I am smiling
I think I took it tomorrow
Never mind, I will post it on
I am sure you left a stamp
Its here somewhere
Buried amongst all the scars

The geese will get there quicker
For they carry no baggage
I think you forgot your toothbrush
But I will post it on, with the picture
I took tomorrow
Whilst you think of the view

I know you are constantly checking
But it definitely says “One way only”
Make sure your seat is by the window
Don’t the geese look superb?
Maybe one day they will return
For they carry no baggage
They just enjoy the view

What care I for your ill’s
It wasn’t I
That made you board the train
I only bear the guilt
For buying the ticket
Did you enjoy the view?

The Note

The letter lay alone
In a mailbox red with rust
Its loneliness apparent
By the layers of forgotten dust
The envelope tinged yellow
As time wished to show its age
The corners bent and crinkled
As if it tried to escape the cage

But love is not your kingdom
When the castle has no moat
And passion will never sail
When rejection sank the boat
So once again his eyes did cast
Upon the bleak and yellowed note
That lay within the mailbox
Seeming to bear a cruel wry gloat

It bore no stamp or postmark
That sense of barren to the mind
Yet it smelt so slightly scented
The sense of an emotional bind
He clasped it tightly to his chest
In pleading hope of a stirring rush
But love will still lie unrequited
When devotion is a one way crush

Broken man

You were magic in my eyes
To beautiful you were
Your womanly charm burned
Through my soul
Perhaps I was to young to
Handle the fire within you
But my young heart plunged
Into the vortex of your
Spirit, and you let me taste
The kiss of your mouth
Your electric eyes never told
Me that I was playing with fire
Yet I was a fool for passion
You drew a portrait of my face
And smiled as I relished your
Talent
We held hands in church but how
Was I to know the devil was in
Your heart?
Men were struck down by your
Beauty
A twitch of your finger, your
Black hair catching the sun and
I was undone
You made me believe I could crush
A mountain with your sensual smile
And you stold my soul with your naked
Body
But you found love in the arms of another
And deaths tears killed my soul
My love had been taken from me
My heart thrown to the wind
All that's left are my scribbled
Thoughts on crumpled paper
I need me back again
What did I do to deserve
This loss?
I lay in the dust waiting
For life..

Connecting singles poets

Not long ago
I felt so all alone
I had no where to go
I would just wonder and roam
I came on here and read some poems
I then knew I wasn't alone
I read many of a poem
Some of them hit home
Some made me moan
But after reading all your poems
I felt like I found my home
There are many stores to be told
All in the form of a poem
This is now my second home
I've made several wonderful friends
I cherrish each and everyone of you
Everyday through
So I just want to send a big thank you
I'm not afraid to tell you I care
I'm sure each and everyone of you know
Just how dear you are
For each and everyone of you poets
Are like a fine piece of art
And all hold
a special place
In my heart!

SAILS BY ANY TIDE

I CLUNG THERE, SHIPWRECKED OF HEART UPON THE ROCKS,
CERTAIN OF MY FAITH, THE DEEP AWAITING,
WHEN YOU CAME BY, TO RESCUE ME,
A SIREN SURELY I THOUGHT, A MERMAID OF THE DEEP.

BUT YOU WERE AS HUMAN AS I, SMILING DOWN,
AS I CLIMBED THE ROPE LADDER TO YOUR DECK,
WELCOME ABOARD, ''THE TRUE LOVE'' YOU LAUGHED,
SHE SAILS BY ANY TIDE.

AND OUR EYES SPARKED, AS WE TALKED THROUGH THE NIGHT,
SOON, BELOW DECK, WE WERE LOVERS,
THE OLD SHIP CREAKING, AND ROLLING,
AS WE LOVED, UPON THE TIDE,

I HAVE SEARCHED THE SEAS FOR YOU, YOU WHISPERED,
UPON MANY TIDES, FOUGHT THE WIND, AND CONTRARY SEAS,
AS YOU THREW YOUR COMPASS, TO THE DEEP, LAUGHING,
LET LOVE GUIDE OUR ROUTE, THE STARS ARE ENOUGH FOR US.

AND WE SET SAIL, ACROSS TRUE LOVES GENTLE SEA,
YET WE FEARED NO TEMPEST, TRUE LOVE, KNOWS NO FEAR,
LASHED TO THE WHEEL, WE MADE LOVE THROUGH THE NIGHT,
AS LIGHTNING FORKED AROUND OUR PASSION, DANCING BRIGHTLY.

ATOP THE CROWS NEST, I LAUGHED DOWN AT YOU, AT THE WHEEL,
OUR EYES SPARKING, WITH LOVE, AS WE PLOUGHED THE WAVE,
AND YOU LAUGHING BACK, AS I CRIED TO THE WIND, MAKE WAY,
FOR ''THE TRUE LOVE'' SAILS BY ANY TIDE.

Prisoner

I have been here so very long
It seems like a lifetime to me
But it is not
That will only occur
When all is said and done
There can be no escape
When there are no bars or walls
Or locked doors that cannot
Be opened, when in reality
They do not even exist
But it is torture, just the same
I still feel the barbed wire
That bleeds me
And the demons that haunt me
And tear at my very soul
Only loneliness brings me comfort
As it is my only companion
For I have been abandoned
Sadly, not by you
But by me

Silence

Embedded image from another site

I whisper into the silence to see if anyone is there
While the moon casts a calm reflection I wonder what I will hear
The voices of timid strangers roaming through the night
Invited by the darkness convincing them that its alright
And not to fear the sleeping giants nor their deep aphotic dreams
Embrace your somber phantoms they will help you find the light you seek
Then I stared far beyond the horizon into the great abyss of emptiness
At that moment all of my hell stood still and I know why I exist
Although my body is bound by gravity my soul is a billion light years away
Im still no closer to forever, but heaven is on my way
