Night Sky--- monorhyme

I came out of the supermarket to be greeted
by the most amazing sky so stunning I stopped
and just stared navy blue back ground lined
by startling sapphire streaks that were layered.

Isles of azure blue all around were dotted
and the Clifton suspension bridge framed
perfectly as if an artist had just painted
it amidst the towers that above it soared.

Driving along admittedly gawking nearly crashed
fast as possible I got to a clear spot and stared
got out heart thumping in pure joy totally bedazzled
by the superb spectacle of various blues intermingled.

As full dark came away it all faded
I rushed home and a pen I grabbed
yet I knew that justice beyond me laid
by a master poet only can it be depicted

THE WORLD NEEDS LOVE

To illusions or dreams the heart is driven

Though the world is not just about love

And it's the key, connection to heaven

Spreading peace and lighting path thereof

And unto us, a choice of power's given

But a sad world weeps for the lack of love.

Bonfire And MoonLight

May 9, 2010

Drawn deep into the heart of the woodland...
a haunting melody stirs the calm night.
Drums pound till I can’t resist their calling.
Silhouettes blend by bonfire and moonlight.

She is but one dancing in the circle...
hands moving as if swimming thru stars.
Many faces shine in the fire’s glow...
figures adorned with veils and flowers.

Glistening bodies, mesmerized, chanting...
praising the earth for her bounty and seed.
May Pole ribbons again weave their magic.
The fields are blessed, as are those they will feed.

One green ribbon I add to the weaving;
my silent watch, then my whispered prayer.
“Great Mother Earth, I’ve abused thy blessings.
Forgive me the times I wasn’t aware."

The drums have awakened my sleeping heart.
I feel you inside me...your voice I hear.
Goddess Mother...blessed be...our Mother;
by the light of the moon, all is made clear.

By the moon’s light...all is clear.”

I join the circle of celebration.
I am one with the drums, long thru the night.
I am but one dancing in the circle;
silhouettes blend by bonfire and moonlight.

All is made clear in the moon’s light...

Stone Ring monorhyme

Majestic stones stood in a ring
while birds flew by on the wing
this once was a place of kings
who spent their time battling

Their foes were now for beheading
this fate was cruel but befitting
a warning for others come warring
with every intention of acquiring

War horses swift of feet cantering
plunging with battle lust capering
the knights so proud are gathering
the stone ring they are honouring

Through the ages cults made offering
changing as they grew up in culturing
yet never the stones change appearing
mystical, powerful capable of conjuring

The Wisdom Of Solstice

Light now the fires that warm the hearth;
Mistress Winter dons her long white gown.
Light now the candle of remembrance,
for another year has circled around.

See the faces of those here gathered,
for love, too, can make the cold hearth warm.
Huddle all near and share your stories,
for outside blows the first winter storm.

Make now your peace and speak forgiveness.
In your sweetest voice, sing Yuletide song.
Grab and hold dear these precious moments,
for ne’er again shall they come along.

Recognize that the cold grey landscape,
holds bits of ourselves that change or die.
There in the stillness we find our truth;
new bits of wisdom that never lie.

Remember, release, then joyful be
this festive, unfolding Solstice night.
A new path before us - blessed be!
The past sleeps covered in Winter’s white.

Love

When love is born the world is new,
A bright and glowing dawn.
With singing birds and budding blooms,
A paradise is drawn.

Exploring fingers, tongues and lips,
Bring pleasure with each quest.
Such sweet surprises, lovers bring,
Into their passioned nest.

With passing time the blossom fades,
Familiar scenes repeat.
A knowing, calm complacency,
Replaces passion's heat.

Happiness depends, it seems,
On finding out the way,
Despite all odds and obstacles,
The way to make love stay.

IF IT'S OUR TIME, WE HAVE TO GO

Uncertain times, what to do
Can't just sulk and be blue
Can't make a world full of woe
Live with fears, why suffer so...

If it's our time, we have to go
We can't tell, we may never know
It can be fast, it can be slow
Give back our Creator what we owe
Before we part to the valley below.

Flying high where the winds blow
Our spirits join the stars to glow
If it's our time, we have to go
We can't tell, we may never know.

I Recall (monorhyme)

So Many special moments in my mind
for some of them I have really pined
remembering those I have left behind
I can recall with clarity those declined

Special places that became entwined
in the canvas of my mind now redefined
I revisit with glee places enshrined
and recall magical moments that unwind

Outlined in gold in my mind defined
I walk and recall the ones I refined
people lost with who I wish to rebind
recalling some for who I once repined

Our lives are full of memories, signed
and dated they rattle in the wind
flashing past so fast they become twined
and stay as I recall them all to my mind

Crazy World Of Skin Colour

Some dark-skinned people seek to lighten their skin colour
By applying skin creams to make themselves fairer
Most of those creams have some chemical matter
That can cause serious health problems later
Their use is common in countries like India
Where beauty and fair skin tone go together
Girls are encouraged to avoid too much exposure
To the sunshine which can make their skins darker

But some white-skinned people who are born fairer
Are not satisfied with their natural skin colour
And wilfully seek more sunshine exposure
To get a tan and make their skins darker
For them a skin that is darkened looks better
And is more beautiful than their natural colour
Yet, for white people, sunlight overexposure
Can lead to a deadly form of skin cancer

Some animals like to wallow in muddy water
Which when dried can change their outer colour
This serves as a temperature regulator
And keeps off skin pests of one form or another
Animals do not seek to change their skin colour
To consciously make themselves fairer or darker
Such weird action is purely human in nature
In this crazy world of people's skin colour

~ A Christmas Ring ~

~ A Christmas Ring ~

Wish upon your Christmas Tree

Maybe it will come true

A ring around your Finger

Would it be just right for you?

A Christmas Tree wish for Connecting Singles

Wishing that wish comes true!

Does he know your size and what to say or do

A Christmas ring will bring you happiness

When you hear him say!

Will you be his girl forever, on this Christmas day

Give him love and affection

From your loving heart

~ You will live and love together and never, never part ~

Merry Christmas
Rings on her fingers
Bells on her toes

Will he give her a ring this Christmas
Only heaven knows!
