"My Cup Overflows"

Your love filled my cup unexpectedly. I would have never though it would be you. I did not know who you would be or what you would look like. I could only prepare my heart for that day though prayer. Prepare myself for someone to ease the isolation that was felt within. For that special one to keep company with, to be my strongest friend, to be my partner in life. To play together, to laugh together, to pray together, to love as one, to be as one. Your love filled this vessel to over flowing, and I will treasure this love all the days that we may be given.

KNOWING...

"... when you know there is disharmony and you hold that ‘knowing,' through your knowing a new factor has come in, and the disharmony cannot remain unchanged. When you know you are not at peace, your knowing creates a still space that surrounds your non-peace in a loving and tender embrace and then transmutes your non-peace into peace...”
TOLLE

Driving in Cyprus is a stressful and harrowing experience. 5/6 of the drivers OBEY NO ROAD RULES, and per capita, as a result, Cyprus has more cripples than any other country on earth, not to speak of an unspeakably high number of road deaths... As a result, when I drive, I find myself cursing quite often. However, I have learnt to do it ‘knowingly’, and that, believe it or not ‘creates a still space that surrounds your non-peace in a loving and tender embrace and then transmutes your non-peace into peace...’ Orwellian double-speak? Perhaps, but, don’t be hasty to judge me till you have driven in Cyprus for a day, what? No, a mere 10 minutes is all it will take to raise your ire!!!
‘...you rat, you almost killed me, you fink, you *&%*$***!!!..., and yes, I’m KNOWINGLY calling you that..., Ok, deep breath, calm down, OOOMMM, and all that jazz... ‘
So, a quick, unequivocal test of your enlightenment is a 10-minute drive through Cyprus, if you can really keep your equilibrium and keep from going from ‘bliss to piss’ in 10 minutes, then, my dear friend, you have made it, you are finally and without doubt an enlightened master..., 3 deep, humble bows to you...,
As for lil-ol-me, sigh, I’m no enlightened master, if I was, would I be driving around Cyprus?
Love and light folks...

Like A Fast Outlaw

Time is a funny thing
When you're young, you don't notice it at all
When you get old you keep remembering
How time rode away with your life, like a fast outlaw

Time keeps you company, never really leaves you alone
Sometimes it can be so quiet
Until you hear the clock on the wall
No one is ever gonna stop that fast outlaw

Time is like a lamp when you turn it off
And then you turn it back on again
Time is like a stamp on a letter that you send
And when it touches her hand

If a tear should suddenly fall
Oh time is like a fast outlaw
Yes time is like a fast outlaw

WHAT SUNDAY MORNINGS ARE REALLY FOR

I’ve mowed the lawn, had to do it twice,
Mmmmmmmmmm…..Now, that’s nice!
You know I love to cuddle you from behind,
Then you can feel me, see me in kind,
I know it’s Sunday morning, you’re busy with the cooking,
OK, hahahah, I’ll watch where I put my feet, sorry,
Wasn’t looking,
Love nuzzling your neck like this,
Feeling fine hairs on my lips as I give it a light kiss,
Whispering sweet nothings in your ear,
That lovely little sigh from you I hear,
The smell of your hair,
Just makes me tremble, feel soft, I don’t care,
Now, you’re just turning round,
Don’t think my feet are still touching ground,
Your arms around me like this,
No other word for it, just heavenly, your returned kiss,
And, as hand in hand we leave the kitchen, through the door,
Can’t help thinking to myself……
This is what Sunday mornings are really for!

No Excuses

Sitting here not knowing.
What I am to do next.
I see the time has come.
To move on and start growing.
When I thought by now.....
My life would be on the setting sun.
But my work I guess is not done.
I still feel the wonder of a child.
And I hear life calling.
At first so weak and mild.
Now it's more like prodding me.
To go out and see what I can see.
No excuses to be made.
It is time to start anew again.
My life is at a new beginning.
Not a closing end.
Once again I am ready to live.
And once again I can forgive.
Yes, it hurt all so bad.
And left me feeling really sad.
But now the hunger inside me.
Searches for the new adventures that will be.
It is time to move on.
And let the pain become by gone.
Happiness is mine.
Given a chance one more time.

peace and love

in the past I have never expressed the belief that I am a particularly spiritual man, at least not in biblical terms. however, having conveyed that notion, still must I impart my firmly held belief that all or most of humanity carries a nugget of ingrained concern for their fellow man, however limited or circumscribed. this I suppose, is my spiritual bent. now comes a celebration of peace. did you see what I just wrote? 'a celebration of peace'. to emulate one, such as Jesus has been purported to be, could never be a wrong thing. were that we could always be strong in our courage of conviction and step through life in but sandals of samaritanism, then earthly matters could become as heaven for us all.

Oh Blessed Numbness..

She walks along a rigid path,
On eggshells she knows she must tread..
Where she once dreamt of quiet walks along a romantic beach,
On sandpaper she now walks instead.
In the beginning it was wonderful
No grey skies to to darken her path
But now most days are spent in constant fear
As the main target of his wrath.
And so she goes on day after day ..
And she wonders just what went wrong
She did everything just right or so she thought..
Did all she could do to just get along.
One day she tired of always trying
To be just what he wanted her to be
No matter what she did it was never enough
She longed to loosen the chains and be free
Now she walks in quiet solitude
Blessed numbness fills most of her day
She smiles laughs and cries in all the right places
While trying to convince everyone she's ok.

A Divided Line

Her cutting remarks made their mark
While the winding road drew nearer
Her eyes were now slit and of envy,
As he halted to a stop.

His love for her was now on edge
As she continued her deepest feelings
Never was he so concerned
To see her bleeding.

Honey Trap

My life wire is swaying from side to side
Trying to keep myself above water
At times I am flying with the kite
- Only to drown again later

Sitting somewhere between the times
In the now and yesteryear
Life has not been easy minded on committed crimes
Since coming back from Middle East I have stayed clear

No more noises of the dead and decay
Just in my head like a parasite they stay

Days are done and gone of unbelievable inhumanity
but now existing I am merely for my own sanity

Soldiering on day in and day out
Trying to makes sense what life now is all about

Life goes on behind the daily mask
I portrait with laughter to the task

They told me C.P.T.S.D will be your friend second to none
Always be with you and never gone

Mirror, mirror on the wall
When you ready next again to fall?

God bless america!

Christians and jews abound, many religions can be found. Freedom of speech endeared. Democratic values they share. Homosexuals and gays parade. Abortion: roe vs wade. All co-exist in this country. This a credit to democracy. The Barack Obama presidency, brought hope to minorities. Amonst problems, americans hope! With resilience they cope. Women have been elevated; this can't be overstated. The statue of liberty, the symbol that guarantees. Children rights and all; this inherited from small. America, what a country! A fifty state democracy. This is the reality. America: land of the free. From land of slaves, to home of braves! Looking to the future; God bless you america!
