The Peace

Twas a breathless night
And daybreak was fighting to arrive
On the far horizon
The last fading stars
Were caressing the early skies
Saying their final goodbyes
For the day ahead
And yet
It was far too early
To hear the morning birdsong
That made all
The trees, whisper their words
Of dawn greeting
It was that time
When all is still
Night was not over
Dawn had not managed to begin
And
All was quiet
So we sat and stared
Into each others eyes, that knowing look
Of tranquillity and unspoken words
That needed no telling
It was our time
A spellbound moment of love unbroken
And peace to us had spoken

I LOVE A CLOUDY DAY

I love a cloudy day when all is dark and dreary,That sleepy, cozy, kinda feeling that leaves us kinda weary.

Even as a child,I would love to sit and stare..as rain came down, and car's drove by splashing water everywhere!!!

It brings a sorta peace to me,dont know why some complain..as there is surely time for sunshine..but there's also time for the rain.

It makes me feel nostalgic,I love to ponder when..times were so much simpler, when I just hung out with friends.

Also it's romantic on a cloudy day to be..with that one you like to cuddle with, and kiss just you...and he.

So please try to appreciate the dark days like the bright, cause the God who created daylight..also created night.

I love you! yes, I do

I love you
Yes, I do

And I know you love me too

I say it
And I know you already knew

I say it
Because I do

I say it
Not because
I want to hear you love me too

But I say it
So that you don’t forget

I LOVE YOU! ^__^

El Parque

I sit between two circles
On a bench cast in iron
Pitted with age and memories
Beneath my feet lie
Paths of crazy paving
Trying to mock
All that is order in life
A grassed outer circle
Sits sheltered by trees
Each of differing hues
Rooted to life
Fighting for space
In a genetic battle
Where light
Is their only master
Small insects travel
Hither and thither
Searching for existence
But never sure
Where it may lie
But seeming to understand
That it is here somewhere

The small inner circle
Is ringed in iron spears
Sharp and erect
Like a guard of honour
Flowers form a barricade
To the inner sanctum
Grateful for the wisps
Of life giving spray
Repaying their dues
With an abundance of colour
A small fountain
Cascades back into itself
With that soft caress
Only water can exude
Mesmerising my thoughts
Spreading its gentle fall
Over my very being
Until I seem to reach
A state of pure peace
It is only here
For that moment in time
That life
Stalls

The three legged dog

Embedded image from another site

As I was walking about
I came across
a three legged dog
he was behind a fence...

He barked as is if to say hello
that he was doing just fine
that he could do everything
a four legged dog could do
he did not view himself as handicapped...

He barked and wagged his tail
he didn't say life wasn't fair
I think he was trying to say
he's just like any other dog...

I stopped and petted his head
and began to think
this three legged dog
does better than most two legged people..

Irish Love Poem

Close your eyes and dream with me-
Picture a cottage by the sea;
On a misty morn in Ireland,
There we would wander, hand in hand.

In a garden where red roses cling
To ancient walls and linnets sing;
Your tender smile would speak to me,
In sweet and silent poetry.

Until green hills turned twilight gray
Until there was no may to say;
Then you and I would lay a fire,
Kindled with kisses and desire.

And we would know the wild delight
Of an Irish love
On an Irish night.

Is is What Was Was?

An is is just a was that was

and that is very small...

And is is was so soon it almost

wasn`t is at all

For is is only is until

it is a was-you see...

And as an is advances

to remain an is can`t be...

cause if is is to stay an is

it isn`t is because

another is is where it was

and is is then a was.

The Internet Dating Poem

Hi. My name is Stan.
I thought I had a plan.
I'd join a dating site.
And there find Miss Right.
But my very simple quest
Has brought me much unrest.
Is there anyone who's real,
Whose genuineness I might feel?
Or are all scammers & fakers,
Not givers, but only takers?
On the net can true love be found
Where when I "chat" there's no sound?
Or are all devils in disguise,
Who give only false replies?
My heart it is surely aching,
It can take no more breaking.
So if my "earth angel" is for real,
Then my wounded soul she must heal.

If you are reading this poem
From your bright cheery home.
And you're looking for someone true
And not some jerk from Timbuktu.
Then I just might be the man
That will take you by the hand.
As I bend down on one knee
And ask: "Will you love only me?"
If your answer is a yes
There will be a sweet caress.
My heart and mind will soar on high
As Cupid shoots his arrows from the sky.
Binding us together for life
As your husband and my wife.
If all this sounds like a dream
Then don't wake up or even scream.
For we must not lose our hope for love
It comes not from below but from above.

A Letter to a Woman

You remember,
No doubt you remember
Me standing
In a trance close by the wall.
Excitedly the floor you were pacing
And threw some hurtful words
In anguish, pain to cause.

You were saying:
It was time we parted,
That you were weary
Of all my rakish ways,
It’s time you ever started doing something,
While I was doomed
To fall, to slowly slide away.

Beloved!
You never, never loved me.
You didn’t know that in the crowds of men
Like winded horse I was in foam, worn out,
With spurs dug into sides by horseman bold.

You didn’t know
That in impervious gloom,
In our lives unfurled by tempest
I am tormented for I lack foresight
Of destination where fate will take us.

............

Beloved!
I tortured you,
I saw the anguish
In tired eyes:
That I, in front of you, for everyone to see
Just wasted life in fights and throwing fists.
But you, you didn't know,
That in impervious gloom,
In our lives unfurled by tempest
I am tormented for I lack foresight
Of destination where fate will take us.

.............

I beg to pardon me ...
I know, you’re not that other, mine,
That peacefully you live
With confident and clever husband.
That you no longer need our strife,
And that me too
You need not in the least, alas!

Just live the way
You’re guided by your star
Under the canopy of hopes’ renewal.
Saluting you,
Remembering all the time,
A friend of yours
Sergei Yesenin.
