Where Do I Fit

Down a dirt road, I ride
Trying to forget and clear my mind
But thoughts are not easy to fade
When I remember you say
That I am nothing
And you want something
More than I can give
Why do I even live
You want someone like me
You just don't want me
I feel like this disgusting thing
You hold your nose up in front of me
Like you can't breathe
Like I'm the disease
Do I mean anything
According to you, nothing
So as I drive, I think
And my heart sinks
It's become a bottomless pit
Where in all this do I fit

Kiss of hands

Embedded image from another site

Did you hear about kisses of hands?
So there is a wish to whisper to You about it
They kiss, through piercing with light,
Squeeze a breast delight of sweet torments …

When you run a finger, slowly
In the area of her short life
Will respond a palm, slightly breathing
Her soul on these hands letters …

Kiss hands devoutly and passionately.
her breath and hearts knock.
And every moment it is fine
In embraces of the kissing hands …

Did you hear about kisses of hands?
They can't be silly and rough.
So the first beam sticks into the sky of a lip,
So begins stories about "suddenly"

The History of the Earth

You've never let me love you...
But I still do.
You sever every attempt to...
Unfortunately true.

Despite your resistance my heart will appeal,
Relentless persistence in part will reveal,
Unearthing consistence,
Prevailing coexistence,
There is nothing in the history of the earth that could ever stop me from loving you....

Frozen Howl

Inside a knowledge turning cogs on this wheel
born from the darkness a heart rules supreme
fear in one wish looking towards tunnel light love
All that will remain when all turns to dust threads of life dance
kneeling weak alone humble and meek finding a balance

Weeping rivers flow haunting sea waves turn the key
truth is something beautiful touching deeply chords
Chilling whispers rise warm oasis warmly embraces hold
creeping inside beauty beams within shadows
Dancing starlight kissing ocean reflections twinkle
sparkle glisten teardrops coldly ripple out

Floating on a cloud of breath precious beauty
a mystery that means something special
finest mother of pearl gem coloring rainbow jewel shines forever
Frozen dew quicksilver lining echoes time answers always
cold as ice crystals dazzling diamond stillness pure

Frosted vision clear cutting ivory white one cool snowflake falls
baptism in regal glowing crowning full face splendor enchants a ball
walking along golden strands looking across the sea midnight strikes
Sleepless nights held over and back destiny calls your name
utopia faraway dreaming our love complete

The Marmite Effect

“Love It or Hate It"

Brewer’s yeast, fermented
sugars into alcohol
before 1680 discarded
then, with salt added
hypertonic, broken down
now, loved or hated by all

concentrated, packaged
by Liebig for people to eat
as small earthenware pot
stores this hearty breakfast treat
with dark secrets blended
to whet morning’s appetite

from UK via Sanitarium
New Zealand transformed, thick
black, savoury, potassium-rich, too
sugar, caramel, added to enhance
bringing its weaker, less
tangy taste from NZ to you.

then, gutted by fire in ’66
now, earthquake-shaken
damaged processing plant
threatened as morning’s staple
rises to NZ$100 per jar
twenty times usual price
distilling to culinary sacrifice.

Warm-toast advice given
to make it go farther
savoury vita-spread with ease
on hot buttered crumpets
Avert panic, focus to store
Yeast extract rises to please

icon should remain
if brand can sustain
taste in minds, as stock
from shelves away does fly
Marmite Squeeze Me
should…will, to you, make its way
by July, if Paddington Bear
has anything to say.

About this poem:
Wrote this back in March when I read about the Marmite shortage.
So, has it made it back onto the shelves?

Living In Two Worlds

Do not be fooled by this silly fool’s grin
How my day went don’t know where to begin
Like hiding how hopeless I feel within
Please pour me a glass of tonic and gin

Unfold my cramped arms from across my chest
Been all day since I took a real deep breath
Work shakes me up get all fizzy when stressed
Sometimes my life is like dancing with death

At last I cross through the portal of home
It’s time to check my baggage at the door
Always good to hear a hearty ‘welcome’
Such simple greeting is hard to ignore

Not keeping apart two worlds is a sin
Where one leaves off let another begin

ON CHRISTMAS EVE

On Christmas Eve I wish you, dear friends,
In joy you are so sad - in sadness merry,
So far on distant continents and lands,
You are so close to me - I wish I had you near.

Heart hardly can contain the love I carry,
To each and every one I stretch my hand
And wish God's grace upon you, wish you plenty!

Believe my words, we have no other way:
This corner is a chance, there aren't so many.
The one for all and all for one to burden take,
You are so close to me - I wish I had you near.

your piercing eyes

encased in a moat of girdled blossoms
your eyes shine brighter than the sun
impregnable in its power
it can sink a ship deep into the ocean

I most admire its clarity
it is a mirror to your soul
secrets it holds deep in your heart
only the Gods know how to unfold

your longings yet held tight
and permeates in the dark
beguiling and charmed
reflections, lucid and cold as ice

piercing and yet fragile
in purity and strength I most desire.
