Cadenced footsteps quicken
A jangle of keys
Now freedom and release.

monkey
and think of things that might've been
I noticed the monkey may have the key
but that is better than green.

Gathers, born in clouds,
Mingles, life is short, it flies,
Dies, on window pane.

About this poem:
This is a Haiku, one of mine, the only poetry that could motivate me in my school days .... Now, of course that i am a tad older and maybe wiser, i wonder was it anything to do with its length and the amount of syllables in relation to my attention span !! LOL !!

Princess thought a lion is always fierce
Until his eyes into her heart did pierce
she felt the throbbing in her chest and his
As two little sparrows thrusting...
to heavenly spheres
My thoughts do travel every other day
Towards your heart where they would like to stay
I felt the shivers in my veins and limbs
as if a child seeking his mothers breast
And when we are with each other cross
The light and joy turns to amiss
The pain and yearn together mix
Our bodies, souls with bonds of love are fixed,

are cinders now, but ashes
