MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone,
And I hope you take the time,
To contact someone lonely,
To say, "you're on my mind".

It doesn't take much planning,
To just pick up the phone,
And ring to say Merry Christmas,
"are you all alone?"

I'm just about to do just that
and ring someone I know,
I hope you too can spread the love
and all give it a go!

Merry Christmas everyone and have a Healthy, Happy and Lucky 2017!!!

Money I've Spent on Christmas

It all started around 1980
I got my first money for Christmas shopping from muskrat furs
At about five bucks a fur
I cashed in around 40 of these to get around 200 dollars to spend
I had my mom and dad
My nephews Shane and Aaron
My brother Rich and Deb
My grandma
My brother in law Rick
My sister in law Marge
I continue to shop for my nephews with Casey and Adam added in 1982 and 86
I do all my shopping on November 1
This leaves me the rest of the holiday to focus on Christmas music
Christmas decorations and movies
I have gotten my money from mowing yards, aluminum cans
making cheese, washing dishes and pans, making fast food
Teaching kids, shipping bacon, and making muffler parts
36 years so far of Christmas presents
My favorite from 1982 I got was a stereo
The 8 track is the only thing that still works on it

About this poem:
Just thinking back to all the Christmas presents I have bought. My favorite ones were for my nephews because I could get creative and have fun with it. I got a game one year where you pull boogers and try to keep the brain from popping out of the head.

Love is only love

Love is only love
a lil more or less
Shameful when it's
covered
And naked at its
best
Love is only love
not meant for one
to sell
But a priceless gift
from Heaven to keep
us out of Hell~

Repose

Oh how its left me
My jingle-jangled poetry
How it’s run its tired course
Words that drove me with such pulsating force

Cruelly left the words I knew
Left alone those words so true
Scratched, etched and pat, patted away
Renderings of a naked soul on full display

Hidden in a cragged mountain view
Or ocean that’s more than a mimicking blue
They have frittered away that summer night
And taken with them my ablest sight

Words cannot be spoken without breath to carry
Meanings of life allowing the soul to tarry
Gone, gone the weight of those I chose
Just thoughts and the bore of silent repose.

Babe

Sit down on the couch
My love
I've got something
To say
We've been together
For ten years now
But I must go
Away
I don't mean to
Hurt you
But I just can't
Stay
I packed my bag
Last night and I
Know things won't
Be the same
But in an hour or
Two I must catch
The train
I saw in your eyes
That something
Was a miss
Blame it on me for
Your tears I
Never kissed
You've been a good
Women to me
Perhaps the best
There ever was
But my heart has
Found another in
Everything she does
So I'll leave the key
And shut the door
I'll drive away and
Say nothing more
I know your tears
Will fall down
Your face
And you'll sweep the
Floors of this
Lonely place
But my heart has
Vanished in the
Wind
God forgive me
Of this sin

Turkey

Don't eat me!
Eat something else
How about some tasty venison
You are going deer hunting today
They cause a lot of car accidents
How many turkeys have caused injury?
None that I know of!
We want to be free
We don't want to be stuffed
This Thanksgiving tradition needs to stop
There's plenty to eat without me anyways
Mashed potatoes and gravy
Stuffing
Pumpkin Pie
Cranberry Sauce
Green bean casserole
And sweet potatoes
Give turkeys a break and have a happy Thanksgiving!

About this poem:
Celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday by deboning a turkey today. It is the only time I buy a real turkey. The rest of the year I just buy it in a package already formed into thin slices.

online now!

oneline now!
Hope I catch you
Before your seven
O'clock date
Hope you've considered
Your possible fate
Hope you see, you might
Be the bait
Hope you cautiously
Walk through his gate
Hope you get this
Before it's to late..

acquiesce

A bumper sticker reads: Don’t believe everything you Think. Gradually we come to know who and what holds the cards in this game... First of all, she does. A woman’s intuition, belief and persistence is why humankind moves along the course it does. Society evolves from tribes, electricity from torches, community from hierarchy, and Love from proliferation. All the Arts combined, invention and marvels, pages through history attribute to her determined wish.

Quiet reminders appear every day. Her world does not hang in precarious balance. Everything tangible forms a collective, whether gravel in a pile, or brows above the eyes. With tolerance shown for insults from behind, pardon throws a rope to those mired in their own quicksand. Time and motion press the sails, that together we embark and attest all these:

She thrives on newness, the freshness arises ahead the sun each day. It’s certainly not about what’s settled for, neither any justice waiting year upon year, waiting for the ideal script. New brooms sweep clean, then also must she; dispenses with regrets and clutter long past. It’s about to-do's in the now of today, whether alone or together a couple. Invest in her and she shall double the return. No rocket science, but resounds within hope and romance. Afforded sanctuary regardless of social status.

The Sovereign Seal on the scroll reveals that You are loved prior to any one like myself having said; before disbelief had set in. So too with succinct melodies accompanying streams of consciousness. They combine to proclaim the instant new miracles come to be. It is true that your voice effervesces with music, so beautiful to say. And why not include that ancient orb of benevolence, that slow rolling silvery moon. Patrols the neighborhood this side of the stars, and not some distant nebulae. That vast overstretch, apex to horizon, ever yours gathered forth in a sampling.

Any man can spot the silhouette of a woman a mile and a half away. And because hers is cast from things lovely and bright, his gets thereby shaken. His will translate to items at hand, hers the adorn of Creation. Indomitable mystique inherent the feminine entity. Most of that he thinks he knows account less than a stitch and hem. It is the here and now of my own perplex, speak into the vacuum, weak at the knees, while she remains fixed on her tapestry, continues looping the fibers, continues while softly singing.

So now when you say there is much more to her than meets the eye, you can say it with a bit more conviction.

Whiz-Bang 4th of September

Mark this one on the calendar kids, each and every All of you,
a one-off epicurean beggar bids.
Spins a tale from fabled realm, scenarios projected from a crystal ball
Seating limited to an even One Hundred, females only please

If ever a Centaur thought itself a mule, warm is fuzzy is a jackal’s tail
but knows where all the cops are too…
Suggests to pack an overnight bag - lost dove on the wing caught up
the whirlwind, this devil’s advocate has your back
Be sure bring along your best perfume, any routing #’s laying around
ah what the heck, lifetime savings too
Triton`s Spear aimed Mermaid World this instant Stingrays You!

Lollipop disguise in no way Self-Serving, no not at all because
without even having played the thing
the Lottery Prize has just befallen Three!
Those hopeful remaining 90 plus 7 will have to wait most patiently
while the man w/the plan from FEMA eventually gets back to you

So what was it exactly, thou sweet and cherished, each one my lucky three
what is it you wish to profit by me?
Those Ruby Slippers, click heels together, tornado gently sets you down
No Munchkin Land, no balloons on a string
no airfare included, no jeweled crown; but instead
Fate’s straight hand would choose to hand you this:
A First among absolute Worst, this
alter-alternative tenpin from Mars; this
stuffed doggy on a trash bin flashing a wink, this
{all capitals} > > top dog-diggity jerk

When Me myself and I come around, best bet is to head outta town.
Wink wink blink;
but y’all’s beautiful remember; y’all jus’ b’yooful !!!

He aprendido

HE APRENDIDO

A amar mí libertad
A sentir el viento
A apreciar el mar

A ver la gente y saberle llevar
A ver mis posibilidades y saberlas captar
A ver mis metas y lograrlas alcanzar
