Einstein

Einstein had a mind of
his own when he stepped
outside the box
He reached in his vest
and checked the time on
his fourth dimensional
clock
The year was 1905 when
he rode that beam of
light
But the minute hand was
a second behind as he
sped along his flight
He punched in all the
numbers but the hour
seemed out of place
And his watch had bent
like wax in this 4-D
time and space
So he scratched his head
and checked the time the
very minute he departed
But to his surprize he was
two days late because he
arrived before he started~

Horror Story

Strange cognitions
Errie night
Bone rattling horror
before my sight
Sweat like an ocean
dripping down my face
'Oh, please deliver me
from this wretched
place!'
I swallow my spit and
stare in awe
That thing will eat me
toes and all
So I summoned the courage
to blow out the candle
I got off my duff and
changed the channel~

A Man too Far

The horizon beams an SOS
The oceans beckon a satin
dress
Sail accross these waters
to a distant land
There's only sky and water
between your man
The ship is at anchor at
the lighthouse dock
Quickly now chimes love's
sweet clock!
Sail fair maiden in dream
boat flight
On bended knee awaits your
gallant knight!~

For every beautiful woman

For every beautiful woman
stands a man in admiration

For every fallen tear awaits
a meaningful destination

For every cheek that's ever
been kissed by the passionate
mouth of man

Stands an admiring Eve in Eden
where love's sweet kiss began~

Poet's Pen

Some men dig for gold
deep within the earth
Others explore the heavens
searching for their worth
But the poet will find all
these things with a single
stroke of the pen
When they find that gold in
a heavenly heart that glitters
deep within~

X Games

Take a ride on the
wild side, and ride
with those who dare
Hang on to your hat
and coat doin' that
360 in the air
Oh, You've see us in
the arena with a
thousand camera's a-
flashin'
Hangin' on to that dirt
bike in all this death-
defying action
Get you a roll of tickets
and watch how fast they sell
As we ramp at 110 accross
the Canyon of Hell
We're a new generation takin'
it to the next level
Daredevils without a fear
attempting the impossible
X Games is our badge as we
soar ever higher
Challenge us with the
untouchable
But bring a ring of fire!

PERFECT SETTING

As the sun nestles into the horizon
like a glowing ember,
it shows an amber hue,
and I remember you.
Like the reflections that glimmer
of the sun as it simmers on the sea,
I see you dance . . .
aloft . . . aloof . . .
Alone.
Elusive romance often hides
like darting rays behind disguise.
Even clouds can’t shroud your eyes
of the sparkle I detect.
Our hearts are circumspect.
Hark! A twinkle is reflected
in the waves that wake . . . for shore.
So we wait . . . and dream of more
horizons to explore.
Holding hands on endless strands
of sand that sifts through time...
To tock along the beach we walk,
mellowing like wine.
Each brilliant son* serenely sets
It’s best we let it rest . . .
Testing then our faith within
that our star will rise again.

About this poem:
* I composed this for a romantic interest, the mother of 3 delightfully intelligent sons, who at the time we met were understandably still very much devoted to their father, and thereby torn by the notion that their mother's interest had shifted towards me, despite our first glances & union occuring AFTER the finality of their parents' divorce. Too fresh to them, at my behest, we waited eons apart, to rekindle a romance, this poetry manifesting my sentiments for her.

ENCHANTING VIEW

Chat-Savvy Prose dedicated to "LuvLace"
in my uniquely innovative "Profuse" style
of excessive poetic elements.

Hear . . . Take my hand -written poetry and
Reach for me now
while I guide us to seæ
a beach on an isle~I’ll
take you with me
Please open Mind if we share fantasy?
Amidst a romantic lagoon
A mystical man’n’ the moon~
light
up the knight
for a lady’s fair fancy
Dancing alight
like the moonlit crests
of the waves that caress
for shore
Wanting more
caresses
he s l o w l y undresses…
her…
tresses…
removing the lace ( ;
A charming new face
gives a smile : )

A romantic serenade

strings of her heart

on his

that burns within
their souls

About this poem:
This is written in just one of my many diverse styles. I call this unique poetic artistry "Profusion" because it is excessively bombarded with too many poetic elements, including some I've innovated*, such as:

Alliteration, Allusion, Antonyms, *"ArchieBunkerism", Assonance, *"Character Mapping", *"Colour", Dichotomy, *"DicLixCYa", Double-Entendre, Elision, *"FuNTS", Homographs, Homonyms, Homophones, (I know, what a bunch o' Homos! ; ), Hyperbole, Juxtaposition, Metaphors, Metonymy, Onomatopoeia, Oxymorons, Personification, *"PUNK'dU8shun" Puns, Similes, *"Strategic Phrasing", Subliminal, Symbolism, Synonyms, *"Textual InUendOH!", + others...

It is more for my own word-playa amusement (admittedly narcissistic?) than for layperson public consumption. Some of the elements may not be easily detected completely due to HTML limits in this post (if you'd like to view it in its "fool glory" in MS Word, email a request from/to your personal addy). Most get the surface level, but to fully appreciate its complex, deeper multiple meanings, reread & study it slowly and see if you can detect all 80+ of its intentionally composed poetic elements. Enjoy ( :

Black Pearls on a Broken Heart

On a cold Nebraska morn
Another loney day is born
A broken gate swings in
the wind
That old heartache starts
again
She pulls herself from a
lonely bed
And drags a comb accross
her head
She pours a drink to help
her start
Wearing black pearls on a
broken heart
She reads the letters he
sent from the war
A hundred or so sprawled
on the floor
But all this is doing is
tearing her apart
Cause she's wearing black
pearls on a broken heart
She kisses his picture
hanging on the wall
As her millionth tear
begins to fall
She draws the curtains
and the tattered blinds
And locks the door for
the very last time
Such a shame she'll have to
part
With only these beads around
her heart
She drives to the plot that
bears his name
Knowing nothing could ever
be the same
She lays a wreath upon his
stone
Her final tears ..now she's
alone
In her purse there's a
sharpened knife
With this steel she'd take
her life
And she ended the life that
would never start
Wearing..black pearls on
a broken heart~

Heavens Wine

From the stairway to heaven
to this crystal stream
Wine coloured doves decend
on this forest dream
Lay down my love on leaves
of gold
From angels vials pour
dreams untold
Lay down my love in this
ethereal light
Touch my soul in this
mystic night
Let all creatures chant
to rhyme
While we sip from vials
of heavens wine~
