It seems there are lonely people everywhere
looking for the one person to fulfill their life;
how many of you are genuine out there?
How many of us will find husband or wife?
If nothing else ever comes of this trial,
At least I can always say it was fun to look.
I’ve met and talked to men both funny and vile,
but hey, you have to at least try the book.
When all is said and done and I give up
this futile search and understand why I’m alone,
that’s the day my true love will show up
and it’ll be too late for us; I only hope I’m wrong.
But you have to wonder, don’t you?
And how will you know unless you try?
There isn’t much to lose but time and you
may just get lucky once before you have to die.

MEET THE STREET
A dude must know the street before he or she wants to live on one
I don’t mean a house or an apartment on a street… I mean live on the street
You’d better know how to fight, how to surrender and when to run
And one should also practice being orderly and oh so discreet
There’s Old Man Joe and his friend Fred who seem okay
But if you own anything at all don’t turn your back on the pair
Because this ain’t just talk since I live here from day to day
And don’t come running to the other street dwellers if you need someone to care
Ain’t no one on the street that gives a damn about you and what you need
Be it food, drink, comfort or just someone to bandage you when you’re hurt
Sh*t, dudes on the street wouldn’t ebb the flow of your blood no matter how you plead and bleed
And then there are the rich who pass by and won’t give up a buck as they treat you like dirt
So I’m giving you ample warning and the rest is all up to you
You can keep doing your thing and lay in that warm comfy bed
Because I swear on everything holy that the following statement is true
If you need to live on the streets you’d better have eyes in front and in back of your head

it's tough living on the street when you're 18 and stealing slim jims jim's for dinner and a peach for breakfast. Lunch was indeterminate

All the sky is clear tonight
Your warmth is on my chest
My arm around your waist is tight
Your lips at my behest
Your eyes are sleeping--so I see
Your breathing shallow is
And you belong to only me
No need to steal a kiss.
My mind is clear for once tonight
No clouds have ruined its course
And I am holding you real tight
I the very first.
And you are lying silently
Within my strong embrace
And I would like the world to see
My face so near your face.
My eyes are troubled not tonight
with mists that cause a spill
and linger on your skin so white
Sometimes against my will
But if my will has lost tonight
and made them languish there....
I'll kiss you silently tonight
though you be unaware,

online today!
Ninety long miles of space
Paradise or hell wait
Boats so long to arrive
The break for a new life
Palm trees swinging away
Warmth of landfall to pay
History hides the lies
Close shores, vibrates the rise
The shock of the bounty
An age fitting scanty
Ending the full life course
Two arms to bless or curse?
Faithful ones get the green
Some baffled in between
Many work for a dream
Few reach their wishful schemes
Questions are like a spell
Both eyes get blind as well
Can they walk with firmness?
Voices pronounce sourness
Is there a second bet?
Ancestors bought the plants
Brings treasures, too spicy
Leaves the air so pricey
Pre-set ideas crash
The promise land to splash
Wonders everyone's views
Do lenses capture clues?
