I agree, but it seems when we say the word "God" we get backlash, but if we say Allah it's fine and dandy....it's a mixed up crazy world for sure and just keeps getting worse day by day

It is because Christians don't care about religion anymore, or they are too tolerant.

what you said speaks volumes...your absolutely right...the face of Christianity is changing and not for the better, it's in a critical moment right now
SoonerGal: this only stands true for certain types of people, not ALL people...IMO the white, Christian male is under fire and he best not say one word against anything or anyone or he is deemed politically incorrect

I think much of whats protrayed as 'political correctness' is actually fiction made up by the people most opposed to it. Some of it is also the result of liberal/leftwing nutjobs who do themselves or their movement no favours
I think that some political correctness definitely IS anti-religious and is a form of prejudice.
Likewise I believe a lot of religious people are actively opposed to the most worthwhile parts of PC agenda (protection of womens rights, gay rights), and to an extent bring it on themselves
If all Christians defined themselves by the Sermon on the Mount, and all Moslems by the long lists dictated by the Prophet of all those people who may not be harmed and must be protected even if they are enemies - they would find friends among those they now consider enemies.

Sad thing is religions are starting to bow down to political correctness, and it will be it's demise. That's why I don't go to church, they don't preach God's word anymore, it's all a I'll do whatever it takes to make you feel good, it's not about redemption anymore

357 years ago, Oliver Cromwell granted a dispensation to the Jewish faith that, so long as they did not attempt to convert Christians to Judaism and that all religious observances were carried out indoors so as not to create controversy, they could settle and live their lives within England
This created outrage among Christians. How many Christians would now argue for their expulsion?
Just think about it - faiths change because in the end they can only lead people to believe things they are naturally disposed to accept.

"Since we cannot know what God is, but only what God is not, we cannot consider how God is but only how he is not. This is what is ultimate in the human knowledge of God...to know that we don't know God."
St Thomas Aquinas
I think this guy was quite high up in the theologian stakes eh?
I know GOD he is a supreme being who created all things.we can not see him but he is there, that's where our faith comes in. HE is in control we are just mortal beings. HIS ways are far superior than ours.

"Reality, God, divinity, truth, love are unknowable, that means they cannot be understood by the thinking mind."
St Thomas Aquinas
"The fact is that you're surrounded by God and you don't see God, because you 'know' about God. The final barrier to the vision of God is your God concept. You miss God because you think you know. That is the terrible thing about religion. That is what the gospels were saying, that religious people 'knew' so they got rid of Jesus. The highest knowledge of God is to know God is unknowable.
Yeney: It is because Christians don't care about religion anymore, or they are too tolerant.
Or maybe, just MAYBE, some are getting it through their self-righteous holier than thou, thick, misguided and closed- minded heads that it isn't cool to control others. Just maybe...
rohaan: I'm going to say this, and I know it will probably make some people angry,--those who want to be victimized will use whatever they can to do so, and you will find that you can't say or do anything "right". It has nothing to do with PC; it is about their wanting to whine and complain, and it dilutes those who truly are being treated wrong.
it's a HUGE problem here in Oklahoma...can't believe its not elsewhere...on FB I have all the local news on there and when they post something we'll say about a robbery involving a black person, it escalates into race automatically, the blacks will say that the news and everyone is profiling...same way about any topic the present, whether it be about gay marriage or Islam, I don't get involved...hope that isn't confusing

Then the problem isn't including words such as black, gay, or Islam, its the context they are included within.
Political correctness surely is about being aware of the context within which we make judgements, not about avoidance because we feel uncomfortable about our prejudices?

That's exactly right. Political correctness is about awareness...being aware of how our words affect others.
