Here is the deal. Banks employee 100 economists and financial anylists to watch the foreign markets....currencies/bonds/investments....thier job is protect investors from making bad decisions in these with timely market information.
These file reports with the bank's marketing departments the gov't bond, t-Bills, and other investments. To aid the investor to make a good investment. In fact, most professional banking organizations have disclosure ethic rules...that force this market information to be given to investor.
So really what the Greek gov't is complaining and investigating is that the American banks protected investors from making bad investments into Greek detoriating financial situation. So now...sue the banks, for doing their jobs.

The Pakistani gov't have now has held the 5 American Pakistani in custody for over....whet.....4 months? They were planning attacks on the US. Their crimes were going to be against American. They broke US law in the Patriot Act seeking to connect to terrorism in a foreign country. But? Were would you keep them?..........GITMO.
These guys are alQeada home grown just like Gahdan.
And this alQeada caught in Iraq? He was planning a attack on DAne and Dutch....some maybe some your personal Danish friends. His crime is not in Iraq. But would be in SA. But the SA have not gotten word of his charges or his plot. Why is that? Well maybe because the Obama administration want to down play terrorism. So they keep a local story in Iraq. But this guy is alQeada and his logical home should be GITMO.
You know GITMO....sitting in the middle of 20,000 US Marines. That have the abilities to withstand a break out attack. That cover the waters and entry routes with sensor and lights. That make it a pretty safe place away from America propper...))..to hold some of the most dangerous men on the planet.
But Obama the DEM needed a international issue on GWB. One that would get the 1000s of $29.99 donations flowing from liberal around the world. Iraq was winding down. So was not Iraq.
If they went after the war that 'had to be fought' in Afghansitan, they would seem unAmerican. So it was GITMO and the 420 alQeada prisoners there.
To spike it a little bit....Nancy Pelosi that was really closing her eyes when the CIA said enhanced interogation techniques (EIT) meetings rolled around...had it leaked that some waterboarding was going on down there.
It did not matter that after it was made public that GITMO prisoner might be facing harsh measure of treatment....that a number of US soldier that were captured on the field in iraq and Afghanistan were summarily executed....some tortured prior to being killed.
The waterboarding was the spike of info that made GWB the war monger that guys like you needed. So you gave mass broadcast
on the net. Never thinking what it was doing to American soldiers...that were caught by the enemy.
But having promised to close GITMO, Obama has got his own problem.
If he gets influx of alQeada types...he doesnot have a home for them. Few in the state wants the danger of having them. So just don't capture alQeada types...leave them in the custody of foreing countries.
The reason the it took 18 month to figure out the Afghan surge? Comes right back to this....if you surge, you got a pretty good chance of capturing a bunch of alQeada types. So you got to plan military missions for the surge that you don't capture them. That takes time.

not to protect the American people. Because GITMO is a hot button on the international front to images. As long as he was promising to close it, he was your go to guy...........
But for the American people....GITMO is the safest place we could put them.
