ttom500: Know what is funny here, Conrad?

This thing is all about Obama's promise to Specter to help him when the election rolled around to get get him to flip parties. So he would he would a bigger majority in the Senate. So Specter become political toxic.....maybe even radioactive.

It comes to primaries....Sestack sees Specter is weak. President Obama sees Specter is weak. So Sestack jumps into the Senate race.
President Obama still owe a political promise to Specter. But now
he cannot honor it by campaigning and endorsements. So?

Rob Emanuel to the rescue with the idea to get Sestack to drop out of the race.....but we cannot do it ourselves....see they know the law....but who in our stable of VIPs do we have to make a job offer to Sestack? Because unless you use a VIP here, Sestack...a former Navy Admiral will not consider it a viable offer.

Enter President Clinton. Who's wife is a possible presidential canidate in 2012. So with a little arm twisting on Hillary and her
State Department....Emanuel
is able to get President Clinton to be the bag man on this.

So they make the job offer. Sestack knows and sees the White House connection....and leaks just enough to get the media's attention.
Then goes silent on it. Letting it brew.

Specter is like a mauled kitten....he goes from a 27 point lead to losing to Sestack in the primary. Without President Obama speaking for him, PA DEM voters see that Specter is a hot potato that is not going to bring home the bacon any more.

So now Sestack sees that his best way to win the 2010 fall election...is......become as near mid road and anti Obama as possible to pick up Tea Party and IND votes as possible. What
does he have on the Obama administration? Nothing other than the criminal job offer by former President Clinton.

So?

Leak more details on the Job Offer to the media. Out pops President Clinton....the Job offered....and etcetcetcetc.

Now the REP pick up their ears to it. They are talking serious infractions here.....with serious penalties to Obama....on censure and even impeachment possibilities. So know they are running with it. Knowing that Sestack to run his campaign..is going to give them ammo on the affair.

Ain't the Washington beltway fun? Why in the world, Sestack would want to enter the dog eat dog world of Obama's Chicago political machine is anyone guess. But this is like

Clinton
Emanuel
Obama
Sestack

This is like a three gingerman cookies going up against pro boxer.
Sestack is tough and shrewd, they thought they could buy him off and he turned the tables on them.

LOL.....by the time Obama gets out of the BP oil disaster in the Gulf, DEMs are going to be so ready for a new Presidential canidate in 2012.

Hillary has not gotten her feet wet in the BP mess. But this one is going suck the Administration into a deep dark hole 5000 feet down

ttom500: On the BP oil spill, first we had the Federal gov't that was letting 'BP totally manage and control the response'' and to take full responsibility. E.G. The invisible Federal Government.

But with the ability to change and transform its to the Federal Government that was working 'behind the scenes from the first minute of the event'.

Now that the BP's top hat seems to be on and working, we have President Obama taking fully responsibility for 'fixing the oil disaster'.

LOL.............the Obama government has more transformations to it than a catipillar changing to a butterfly. Or moth. Take you pick depend on which side of the political spectrum you are on.

Knowing the buck was always on his desk on this. President Obama, finally after 6 weeks, took responsibility for the fix. Like the Afghan surge, thing don't come fast from this White House. Not sure if China and a runaway NKorea are going to give him that much time.

My question is.....if BP's Top Hat blows off like a western cowboy hat in the middle of a 60 mile hour wind driven thunderstorm. Will President Obama also take responsibility for then? If he does my cowboy hat is off to him.

With pressures like this and at depths like this, that can very well happen. But I would not hold him personally responsible if it did. We are working with nature here...and nature throws a pretty mean curve ball at times.
What are U talking a bout TT? What kindsof technology the fedreal government have to fight a gainst the BP disater? this leak is so deep down that stopping it is rather complicated and of BP is stopped trying to do this then the situation will be even more complicated to solve. Unfortunatily you are depended on BP to stop this leak and they got to pay the whole thing and when this horrible disater is over and under control then America must learn preventing disaters of this kind and like in Europe for example demanding oil companies to make prevention systems and stopping disasters before they become disaters! Here is Europe oil companies are under several other regulations and they are obligated to use all the money necessary and making systems which will make disaters as the current one in the gulf of Mexico almost impossible but still... oil companies have had too free hands to use as little money as possible on security in America thanks to lobbyists with too deep relationships with american administrations and particualry and as you know better then me... with the administration of GWB and his bunch of crooks and liers grin

I am sure Obama administration is going to do some thing serious a bout this situation very soon TT. When oil becomes more important than lives and security and prosperity of americans as we all have seen several times and particualry during the dark years of the Bushney,s on power in America... then oil companies got allowed to save as they could and to be free of many regulations and actually had alomst free hands to get the oil out as cheap as possible and then Sh** happens not only to day but in feauter as well.

Top kill failed to stop the BP release. This was what BP thought their best chance (60-70%) to control the release. BP has another kind of control planned for four days from now.

But increasingly the Obama administration is getting pressure to take full control of the control effort. Today the USCG admiral stood with the BP crisis manager in a media Q and A. So it is coming more and more a Obama managed crisis.

Pres. O was on the LA coast watching tar balls float in. He took the family down with him as well. The girls had to be excited about a day out of school. Watching tar balls come ashore has to be fun.

The Administration and BP have to be overwhelmed with new ideas and concepts to control the release. I got a White House letter on the two that I submitted earlier. Working on a third now.

People that have been submitting these are going to get fustrated soon. In fact, many already are. They see BP attempts failing....say to themselves my idea is as good as that.

They are having some success in the surface and agent control of the crude. I feel. They have organized a aerial imagery unit that can located the drifting slicks deep into the Gulf. And have applied nearly 1m gallons of control agent. One of the relief wells is ahead of schedule and 12,000 feet down now.

But if BP still has problem in controlling the well head. And cannot. When does Obama step in? Make it a Federal disaster and controlled by his administration. His call, but his political future can hang on it. Maybe does hang on it.

Most idea submitters come into this with wrong attitude. They say....I have a great idea to solve this.....get emotional about it....submit it. Then when it does not get used or developed are hurt personally. From someone that has been there and done that in the past. Don't.

Make it learning experience.....and a opportunity for a new business in the future. Because if you really have the next great release control idea .....after see the trouble here....both the US gov't and the oil drillers will be willing to talk to you in the future.

Dude, when BP got top kill fitted. Obama was making press releases saying that "This has been his gov't priority number one from the fist day it started" and "We have worked endless hours to get control of this catrasphophy." and "I take full responsibility for the BP control"

Kind of sounds like Obama is taking control and responsilbity of the situation? yes?

Well like I said in the post....'what if top kill failed'....will
Obama take responsiblity for that as well? Well he was not at the
BP and Coast Guard media Q and A today when they said to kill failed. Not a peep today from him. Great to have a small success...the fitting of top kill to keep the media off of him when he was at the beach in LA. But now that top kill failed, better to be in Washington and with home turf questions from friendlies.

Great leaders take responsibility even when failure occurs. Lee at Gettysburg when the remains of Picketts division returned..."Men the failure is mine and mine alone. Not yours, but mine." That kind of loyality and responsibility inspires men.

They say now...if Obama support drops any further....it is cutting into the DEM base that he made. Means that people that backed him loyalty to get the nomination and elected are drifting away from him.

Hey Tom...it looked to me (the southern something according to Dude) like Obama was quick to say he would be responsible, and take credit...in-case it worked.

But when it didn't...would he be ducking the media and his proclaimed statement of being responsible?

Just like him, according to his past!

And to think I tried my best to talk people out of putting him in a position he was not able to perform.

Come to think about it, someone would have to ask Mrs Husein if he would have a "performance problem"!

Just saying

In reality, he has zero control of what happens down there at 5000 feet. Anyone that has worked around nature and technical processes, knows this.

But hey if he is going to stick his foot in mouth and take responsibility for a processes called "top kill', 'mudding',

What part of this Exactly is not easy to Get or understand by the sad mad buch of repube heads and their out of touch and selfish friends and supporters and endorsers in America?

_______________________________________________________

By 2014, health reform will eliminate all discrimination for pre-existing conditions, expand health insurance for 32 million additional Americans, and provide the largest middle class tax cut for health care in history.
It will take four years to fully implement these reforms in a responsible way,but a host of desperately-needed reforms and consumer protections will take effect this year.

• This year, children with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied health insurance
coverage.
• This year, health care plans will allow young people to remain on their parents' insurance
policy up until their 26th birthday.
• This year, insurance companies will be banned from dropping people from coverage when
they get sick, and they will be banned from implementing lifetime caps on coverage.
• This year, adults who are uninsured because of pre-existing conditions will have access to
affordable insurance through a temporary subsidized high-risk pool.
• This year, small businesses that choose to offer coverage will begin to receive tax credits of
up to 35 percent of premiums to help make employee coverage more affordable.
• This year, new private plans will be required to provide free preventive care: no co-payments
and no deductibles for preventive services.
• This year, early retirees will have help in the form of a temporary re-insurance program to
help offset the costs of expensive premiums for employers and retirees age 55-64.
• This year, seniors who fall into the Medicare Part D 'donut hole' will receive a $250 rebate to
help pay for prescription drugs.

China is doing its rope a dope on the Korean issue.

After meeting in SKorea for week. Likely seeing the multinational reports on the Chonean sinking. Seeing the 'faked sunk' Chonean that now lies in two pieces in a SKorean ship yard. Having the SKorean doing their version of a western Chenneye Indian war dance for them.

The Chinese said the following:

"The urgent task at the moment is to propperly (mispelling mine
for Dude's benefit) handle the serious impact of the Chonean incident, to gradually defuse tensions caused over it and avoid possible conflict."

Now maybe just me....but Hilary C. went over their breathing fire...that the international community...'had to act on the Chonean' issue. It seems the Chinese are taking a slightly different course here. They would rather have a long period of contemplation and mediation to what action, if any should be taken here.

It is not like the SKorean don't see this. One says this

"Wen Jiabao's (the Chinese Foreign minister in SKorea) speech today gave no practical measures on how to deal with the Chonean incident. He said nothing to how China will get involved at the Security Council."

So the SKoreans see the Chinese rope a dope being played as well.
Hint...after having a frigate cut in half and 46 dead....rope a dope is not a good international policy position to take.

While in the North, they had a celebration of sorts.

As protesters took to the streets carrying large banners and declaiming the south as war seeking and American puppets. Another
hint (I have never made a puppet of anyone.)

So all told in the far east...after the Chonean investigation was made public. We have a fire breathing Hillary. A comatose China. A
celebrating NKorea. And a SKorea learning the Apache war dance....since the Chenneye war dance was ineffective in getting China to do a boot you out of office Mr. Premier Kim.

Anyone here think that China is not the big kid on the block to get a Kim step down? That is really what ultimately needs to happen. Not only him....but his three corkscrews of sons as a
well. That is what Hillary and Obama should be asking for, and nothing less.

You realise that oild companies which oporate in Europe and even in the middle east are using around twenthy procent more money on "security" don,t you? FU** the cheap oil TT... natur is much more important than paying a doller more for gallon and so on.

White House officials, led by President Obama, made a big public push to talk about the oil slick in the Gulf of Mexico Thursday, going into detail about steps the administration is taking to mitigate environmental damage and understand what caused the accident.............doh

NATO/American General McCRystal is saying that the Taliban train in Iran.

Opps....there goes the plausible denability theory of a Iran/Taliban/alQeada relationship out the Pres. A's Tehran window...if the General has proof to the claim.

Let us face facts.....the Iran/Afghanistan border...is as porous as a sponge. The EU spends 220m getting the Iranian Revolution Guard to put up border obstacles and towers for Taliban controlled smugglers of heroin.

The Revolutionary Guard proceeds to place border towers in saddles for blind spot. Fences that have whadii bridges to past under. Trenches that end at abandoned farms complexes. Border service roads that lay on the border side of obstacling that have no guard posts. And check points crossing that hidden sites at them for drug transfers.

This border would get a 5 star rating from open border proponents here in the US. If it can make it to the border...by flying, crawling, walking or riding....it gets into Iran. And gets out of Iran when Tehran says so.

So when a American General says that the Taliban train in Iran. I tend to believe him. It not like Hezbollah, Chechens, and other
radical Islamics extremist don't have kissy face relationship with
Iran. They all do. Sorry the present pc Washington word for Islamic extremist is Jhaddist.

When one adds up that bin Laden is raising a immediate family
in Iran ....one that has more requests for foreign extradiction....than Sundance and Butch Cassidity had after robbing banks in more S. American countries than Jesse James and his bros did in the US. That there is a 50/50 chance that he, personally is in Iran with 10 new wives. And the Iranians have been shielding him since the Tora Bora battle.

One can make the logical conclusion that Iran & alQeada & Taliban =
Taliban & alQeada & Iran = alQeada & Taliban & Iran = Taliban & Iran & alQeada ...........you get the drift. They are one in the same. And the same has its head in Tehran with the Supreme Leader and President A.

Well at least President Obama has something new to think about. With a General Petrias asking for more special operation missions in the Persian Gulf region and General McCrystal say that Taliban doing training in Iran.....President O has the choice....approve the spec op missions....expanding the conflict or deny the request....and let Iran host the Taliban and alQeada unopposed.

A tough choice that can cost him votes in 2012.

Here's some good rememberance of Obama, and this Memorial day weekend... Go read the whole story.

"An interesting “stand-off’’ of sorts developed outside a barbecue President Obama was attending at a friend’s house Saturday night between followers of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan on one side and members of the press and the U.S. Secret Service guarding the president on the other."
Farrakhan followers, press have minor 'stand-off' in Obama's neighborhoodMay 30, 2010 BY ABDON M. PALLASCH Political Reporter

"Eventually a dozen “Fruit of Islam” agents arrived. As each casually dressed man arrived, he exchanged elaborate handshake/hug/double air-kisses with others. Two walked by a reporter, chanting “Islam.”"

ttom500: Dude, when BP got top kill fitted.

Obama administration have taken responsibility to mannage the clean up job and the same administration isgoing to furfill this promise TT. Be very happy that this disater did not accur inder the Bushney,s or they would never ever do a tenth of what Obama administration is doing and is going to keep doing regarding this.

I definately understand much of your positions regarding this administration TT... it is rather hard to accept that the government actually is doing some thing in the benefit of americans and the kind of lousy job your guys always have done... giving you a certain beleive a bout governments must not do much and the whole thing must be runned by people them selves... America is not Walnut grow TT and the government takes responsibility and have to take responsibility grin

abracadabra49: Are you on drugs? "As government grows our liberty contacts". It's obvious you don't have a job and expect to receive "Obama" bucks. We'll my friend, the hand outs have long been handed out. Get a job. The real world of self reliance is a tough one, yes, change is good when you get change tucked into your pocket. Give us a break and get a job. Oh, wait, your not going to need one, soon you can get your "High" speed internet connection for "free" and can continue to spread your ignorance. Oh, wait, you can get educated for "free". Yes, change is great. How has it been working for Europe? That's a model of success.....Get a job, Obama is recruiting folks just like you. "Free" ride, and when the pay check stops, hit the streets and burn down stuff. Yes, change is awesome.....

Well... another wanna be therapsit in here Ey ?laugh

Have a job or more and working hard as I can and want to ...

Too much liberty means Bullshi* and then crooks and liers and criminals will be able to keep milking americans furter more as they sure did during the dark years of Geroge W Bush and his administration and then America goes bank rupcy and takes the whole world with her!

No hands out here... but those who ned the help of the government must be able to receive that help in a free and democratic runned country and I do pay my tax with pride so the needy receive that help and have no problems what so ever with that my friend!

Get a job? Right... but where are those jobs here and now you Assume? confused

ttom500: Know what is going to be interesting.

Is comparing the number of gays that enlist, once 'ask don't tell' is repealed. To the actually number of American gays....that have been asking for it to be repealled.

Because I got a silly spider sense feeling...it is going to be a very small percentage of the American gay population that enlist.
In fact such a small percentage, that is if you percent the gay against 304 million American and compare the enlist gays to the 4.5 m active duty military. The answer will be pretty obvious.

In other words it was all politics and though gays felt discriminated against...and maybe rightly so....few will actually step to plate and take the oath. jmo
But still... another "alomst Impossible" mission is possibly going to be accomplished by president Obama TT yay
