A AP article on the splits that China is doing on the Korean issue.
Chinese leaders recognize that they are in a tough position, were it is bad if you do and bad if you don't. A no win situation in other words.
Am not buying that.
The article talks about the alliance relationship that NKorea and China had. But this is more a proxie relationship....China the proxer and the NKoreans the proxie. Than a alliance relationship.
Why do I say that?
How many years has China supported NKorea with fuel, food and bullets? Ever since the Korean war. The longer such a relationship goes between a major country and smaller one....the more it becomes a proxie relationship.
If this is a Proxie relationship....then China either knew or approved the Chonean attack. China was ticked at the Obama administration, the Proxer in the US/SKorean relationship.
Notice that SKorea has walked this right into the UN and China is trying to figure a position. Almost like China is calling for a multi year study program. Give us more time, to figure out what happened here. Which works to fit on Pres. Obama's position that 'all negotiation avenues will be explored prior to a military operation' like a glove.
The Chinese have done their homework on President Obama and know they have a cautious and inexperienced POTUS in the oval office.
They also know that if they can stretch the world's attention to other issues....this might just sink away. Other issues like Iran's nuclear issues.
So the Chinese are doing their version of the stall or the rope a dope. Hillary C. is in the room and punching away for 'world actions' on the Chonean. The Chinese are snoozing on the couch and playing serious game of Go.
No wonder Hillary is not having fun these days. Kick their game board over and drag them off the couch, Hill. Go to the UN Security Council with a serious military option to be voted on.
Heck make it a serious trilatoral military option (US, Japan and SKorea).....one that could leave China, Russia, and even the UN out of it. The US is the main player.....and will do all the funding and manning anyways. We got man power coming from middle east....we can speed up the withdrawals. We are likely have the most experienced military in the world today.
If China and Russia does not want to play along....then let them lose influence in their region of the world.

SKorea is doing naval war games in the Yellow Sea. NKorea promised 'immediate physical strikes' if they strayed into NKorean waters.
Also NKorea scrapped another accord covering the contested water.
So this place most definitely one of the world's hot spots.
Don't go there unless you got a battle carrier fleet and are looking for trouble. It is not a tourist's paradise, presently.
Our President is above saber rattling for a wounded ally. He is leaving that to Hillary C and military leaders in the region. It leaves him above the fray, that if goes badly....cannot be his call or fault. So he is staying quiet on it.
Maybe this a good thing. Getting President Obama's opinion on this growing precarious situation would likely only add fuel to the fire.

Kim would be hoping mad and sending armor divisions south of the DMZ by now. Now that the BP's top hat seems to be on and working, we have President Obama taking fully responsibility for 'fixing the oil disaster'.

A little local political gossip going around here. We thought it was Rob Emanuel that was Obama's bag man (er middle man) on the Sestak job offer.
According to CCN today....we got it wrong....it was none other than Bill Clinton that made the job offer to Sestak.
So now we got a former President and a sitting President in possible crime....quid pro cou on offering Sestak the Navy Sect job if he stepped out of the Senate race against Specter.
I listen to Megan Kelly site (read) statute the REP are saying was broken....sounds like it was dead on to what happened here.
Basically, it is illegal to ask a running canidate to step down for a position in your administration.
Looks like this could be a twofer. Like OJ Spimson, the orginal crime did not convicted.....but the second one sure did. Bill dodged a bullet on Monica, but legal kismet gets him for a quid pro cou in the Obama administration.

I listen to Megan Kelly site (read) statute the REP are saying was broken....sounds like it was dead on to what happened here.
Basically, it is illegal to ask a running canidate to step down for a position in your administration.
Looks like this could be a twofer. Like OJ Spimson, the orginal crime did not convicted.....but the second one sure did. Bill dodged a bullet on Monica, but legal kismet gets him for a quid pro cou in the Obama administration.
Surely Obama would have to approve the appointment of the Navy Sec't. So? So he is neck high in this as well. He went public and said....that a full administration investigation and report would be made public soon. Wise media types are staying quiet on it.
But with the DEM house in rebellion.....this is not a good time for a corruption scandle in the White House. With a new House in Nov, if the REP string the investigation of this along till after they have a majority.....surely censor or maybe worse.

This incident is actually not much worse any way TT! your guys lost it again when they really thought they had him A little local political gossip going around here. We thought it was Rob Emanuel that was Obama's bag man (er middle man) on the Sestak job offer.
According to CCN today....we got it wrong....it was none other than Bill Clinton that made the job offer to Sestak.

Worse than Any thing GWB did? ttom500: David Cooperfield must have been in SKorea 6 weeks ago. When the Chonean sank into the Yellow Sea. According to the NKoreans, the SKorean "faked" the Choenan sinking.
Only Cooperfield could do that. Remember when he made the Statute of Liberty disappear? Cooperfield can do some pretty good illusions. But I think that this tops that!
That pic of a 1/2 of the Chonean being lift by a marine crane a couplof weeks ago....looked pretty real to me. I did not know Copperfield did long term illusion that take weeks to develop. But according the NKorean the SKorean have this ability.
It is kind of like the girl in the box illusion. She walks in....Cooperfield waves his majic wand....and opens the door....and she is gone. Only this case she immediately goes the box and saw illusion where she is sown in half. Only really sown in half....
Cooperfield comes out with some ropes from the ceiling....and raises the the two boxes....while the audience groans in disgust.
Well the Chinese don't seem to be buying it. They are pretty good at illusions and majic themselves. So NKorean better give them a real case and real time computer reenactment of how Cooperfield (e.r SKorea) did this.
Well if SKoreans have this illusion down pat with its earlier practice on the Chonean. Nkorea has some real problems coming.
SKorea can just make KIM and his 1.5m man NKorean military disappear. I say to President Obama time to come home with our speed bumps and let SKorea do a Cooperfield on Kim and all of NKorea.........
Well... it seems like China have decided to put an end to this possible batle between S and N Korea and that is a certain clever move I beleive. both South and north Korea are rather depended on China economichally and based on secrity issues as well and then they both are going to allow China playing middle man game and winning a moral victory from this mess...but sanctions will be on place as well and specilly new ones to stop NK sending nuclear capability to Iran will be the main concern of the White House.
