Fifty cent pies...

It's the individual servings with the 3" pies that makes it attractive.
Cutting up a 9" pie and bagging the slices for lunch becomes impractical.

Fifty cent pies...

Pumpkin has become a favorite this month... laugh

RE: BREAKING NEWS !! Envelope containing the toxin Ricin addressed to the White House intercepted

I find the whole thing strange. Castor oil is usually cold-pressed from castor beans, it's the hull that contains ricin. It can be refined/purified into weapons grade warfare agent particles.
This isn't something you buy from Amazon. So where does one get this chemical?
I'm only asking for a friend!
laugh

Seriously, if it's so deadly, the person making the letters is also at risk. duh...

I think it's super rare that any president would come in contact with their mail. It's handled by staff. No antidote... so is it fast reacting?
If so, mail room staff would start dropping like bugs and it would be a matter of minutes for detection. Slow reacting, it would be hours later when they are transported to ER with some unknown illness.

Torture... isn't it?

50 years ago today...

True story. Clapton and a list of other British guitarists were 'blown away' by Hendrix.

50 years ago today...

If I recall, Hendrix was booked to open for The Monkees on a 28 city tour.
His music didn't agree with the pre-teenage audience who went to see The Monkees and he dropped off the tour after 8 dates. Obviously, loud psychedelic rock wasn't what their ears wanted to hear.
While the Monkees gigs turned out to be a failure for Hendrix, his exposure was enough to gain recognition that was ultimately beneficial to his career.

The Miami Pop Festival where Hendrix headlined the event.
I was a musician and my band had a gig the first day so we didn't get to see him.
Our plans were to see him on the second day.
We made it to the festival and the weather wasn't very good.
Several bands performed mid-day in between sprinkles, but the afternoon brought heavy showers and the concert got rained out.

That would have been my only opportunity to see Hendrix live and I lost out due to the weather.

Hope you don't mind my intrusion!

No intrusion... welcome!

Whacked in the Gulf... again

Let me get out my Sharpie! laugh

Whacked in the Gulf... again

Jim, I read the storm was moving at 3 miles per hour and more than a day of it dumping water on coastal areas that had no means of drainage.

RE: Trump's biggest FEARS about releasing his tax returns.

I believe he made some shady Russian connections that he would like to hide.

It'll start getting cooler...

I believe it was sent here by China to affect the election...

Tell that to Spain and Italy.

laugh

RE: Mae West and her quotes

Jim, I'll pass as I didn't care much for WC Fields.

RE: Mae West and her quotes

For the record, the pizza was awesome!

Keyfob aka the lump in my pocket...

I found a Mae West quote you must be referencing...

“Is that a gun in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?”

RE: Dropping Michael Flynn's Guilt - REJECTED !

thumbs up

Keyfob aka the lump in my pocket...

Possible. When I had the Mini Cooper rental for 3 weeks, 2 keyfobs were attached with a wire clip that would need a wire cutter to separate. That was in one pocket and my keys in the other. I'd prefer to keep them together... just in case I lock myself out of the house.
Yeah, I could keep a spare set of house keys in the car!
laugh

I actually miss opening the car with a key!

RE: Trump - breaking the law (again) in encouraging others to break the law.

Didn't Bill Barr support this illegal action?

Steven or Stephen...

I met a Spanish woman who's name Nohemi was pronounced 'nay-yo-me'
(and not no-he-me)
For Naomi, some spell it as it sounds but some pronounce it 'nye-o-me'

RE: Finally Mom will get to see Dad

Difficult times Fay... hang in there!

Steven or Stephen...

Juan to a Spanish person is 'wan'
Juan to a Chinese person is 'dren'

RE: Murderous Blame Game - 4 officers - one murder of George Floyd

I said this before and will say it again...

All this for an alleged counterfeit $20.
Where is the evidence?

RE: The USA has a little over 4% of the world population and almost 22% of the Covid-19 deaths worldwide

Trump was the one who closed travel to China and built the wall.

Actually, it was closed travel FROM China.

Construction of building a border wall between Mexico and the United States wasn't/isn't related to the virus travel ban.

RE: Trump to hold rally in Reno this Saturday & Las Vegas this Sunday (the 13th). You betcha !

I think they changed the chant to "12 more years!"

RE: I'll Play the Blues for You

British Blues was influenced by American Blues and Gary Moore is a good example:

RE: Heart breaking photos from Lake Charles after hurricane Laura

It's amazing that happens to wood framed houses when met with 140mph winds.

RE: seen this ?

Kirschner's video? First time.
The Harris clips? Many times.

RE: What a shame for those 'bone spurs'. lol

Interesting song... thanks for the link! thumbs up

Together again...

"Shake for me girl, I wanna be your...."

That phrase has 2 referenced meanings.

"...back-door man"
That's a different 'back door'

Lyrics in Zeppelin's Since I've Been Loving You:
"I open my front door, I hear my back door slam,
You know, I must have one of them new fangled, new fangled back-door man"
