LAN, I miss my old phone. When I was looking for the new one (the night I lost it) I dialled the old phone by mistake. It told me briskly 'If you have my home number, please dial that instead and leave a message if I'm not home'.
I used to refuse to give out my mobile phone number because it was never on - it was for me to use if I was lost (happens a lot) and needed to phone for help, and that was the only time I ever switched it on.
Smartie is on all the time. Won't be in future, today was lovely
Drive-in, yup, still went after I married because that way the daughter could sleep in the back seat. Somehow wasn't the same, going with a husband. Well, my husband.
Still have bowling alleys here, and they are popular.
I never skated on a frozen pond but I do miss going to skating rinks. I think they're still out there, but I wouldn't dream of going to one now. I never saw ANYONE under 30 on the ice unless they were either side of a kid gingerly skidding between them.
I recently noticed a hopscotch outline drawn onto the pavement, that pleased me very much.
A lot of the stuff I enjoyed is still there but I got older and would stick out like a sore thumb.
I do sometimes miss being younger. Not often - but it happens.
I know there are Asian marriage websites where you could meet women who are looking for a partner, and you have good photos. I'm just a little surprised that if you are so lonely, you would come onto a website for players?
Thanks Sola: they were saying on the news this morning that several older power stations have been closed down because of their impact on the environment, and this winter is going to have the slimmest power reserves than in decades.
Where's that list of mine? May need to take a second mortgage at this rate!
John, beer's the answer. Refreshes the parts other drinks can't reach. Or, of course, staying in Ireland! Not been to Portugal, did you enjoy it or was it simply too hot to get out and about?
