My tenant is ideal in many ways but an insomniac and plays music to put himself to sleep. There have been nights I have got to bed at 3 in the morning and not been able to sleep because

I reckon the inventors looked gloomily at the things and said how the hell are we going to market these stupid things? and their marketing company said aha, we will call them smart, and let the people using them think that they are the stupid ones.

a) no worries about the hijack, that's the best about blogs, they wander all over the place and that's why it's fun to read the comments

b) Angel has the solution THANK YOU switch to full site and tap twice (it's like a secret code ) and Bob's your uncle. CS in miniature, but not so miniature you can't read it.

Ok so that's sorted the smartphone problem, and the politics put to bed with an Atlee-like wait-and-see. Excellent.

My next pupil has switched from Camille to Emptyroom Robot so I am around for the next hour

Emptyroom Robot pays for my services but is a frustrating pupil who never answers questions, and never seems to improve.

He/she/it also never rates me as a teacher, so it is basic pay only, no bonus.

On the bright side, I can ignore him/her/it and carry on chatting on CS, reading emails, checking FB, and starting on my last assignment for my qualification. Could be worse.

You have a fab weekend too, Boet, sheesh you guys get a lot of public holidays (In the UK now all public holidays except Christmas are moved to the nearest Monday. It does simplify things but I do miss that occasional midweek break)

No, none of those qualifications could help fix something which had started with hidden agendas. The one and only thing the blog really offers is to point out that honesty up front about what both parties really want does save a lot of confusion and even unhappiness
