Red, maybe we and Daniela should set up an agency for ghost hunter busting. Interesting work, we meet dead people but maybe some live ones too, earn money, go interesting places - win WIN
I do think people who spend a fortune on a fancy bike would insure it without thinking twice about it, and hopefully themselves at the same time. The accidents ruining lives are often the kids hopping on a cheap 2nd-or-3rd-hand bike, strapped for cash, their main thought is buying the gas not thinking of anything that could go wrong.
They're the ones he wants her to help him target on FB and other social media. She asked me for ideas because I in theory play a lot with words.
How do you get it into a teenager's head that he could go kaboom and too late then to hurriedly try to get medical cover?
Aa, this would be a permanent move for me (although define permanent, I am nearly as mobile as Red, have moved more than 20 times in my life, that includes living in 3 countries already so far)
The only problem with renting is needing monthly income, and the nice thing about the elefante blanco is that it should, could, will cover its own overheads. So all I need to worry about is food on the table and in the dog's bowl.
That's the theory. And yup, gamble. If my company hadn't closed the Scottish offices I'd have stayed in Scotland dreaming of a life in the sun and going on lots of holidays but that happened, and the elefante blanco waved at me, and ....
Hey. Off topic! Anyone you want investigated? What qualities would be important to you?
I'm about to post another blog directly relating to an email conversation in real life, at least with this new layout I don't instantly lose this blog, which could be fun. The new blog is a serious question, for a change.
The best thing about throwing up old blogs like this, thanks CS, is that you look at the subject again.
I didn't like that episode, Ken, probably for the same reasons you did - it stuck in my head and worried me. But I didn't see your later comment at the time and oh YES Cap'n Jack and she should have spent time together! Mind you, maybe they did and that was why she became so angry ...
Does look like we're the only kids in town right now. Grab a coffee, now tell me, are you offering any special ladies character, security, psycho-physiological assurance, protection and durability?
Wow, 22 is a lot a lot, and you are so not over-reacting. Did you exchange a lot of messages at quite high speed before exchanging numbers? In which case per earlier suggestion make it clear that you can't text from work.
Singles are lonely and yes when we find someone we like talking to it is exciting but the real connection is finding the level we like and find comfortable - not demand a high level instantly.
Still, it saved time in the long term so not entirely wasted.
I wouldn't mind being drop-dead gorgeous for a little while. Just to see how the other half lives
I'd never give up writing for love, which is probably why I will be single all my life. Maybe, one day, it would be possible to combine both, though? All things are possible and music be the food of love, Track, play on!
Hmmm, Pat, I sort of avoided using his name to not hijack the blog.
I was making a POINT which had more to do with the way he handled victory in a race.
The real win is to seize the moment and go on and seize the whole day. Not spend the rest of your professional life jeering at the person you beat and complaining they hadn't played fair.
I think I would read these blogs more impartially if they didn't ALWAYS turn into a spew of hate against the other guys. WTF?
Sometimes I think the haters forget that half the voting population didn't turn out to vote at all, they didn't support EITHER candidate.
Concentrate on pointing to the good stuff achieved, and let people get impressed. Leave it to the other side to try to belittle it. The sheer fury and ranting is what is alienating those who might otherwise think okay, that's good.
JMO. Feel free to delete. Most of us in the Western world, though, are only interested in what is going on, not on a grudge match that you know what, guys? is over. Let it GO.
Cal - nothing changed on the publisher front. However all now in paperback, still via Amazon unless you happen to live near one of the relatively few bookshops stocking my stuff, in which case kid are YOU in LUCK or what?
Most of my books start when I suddenly get seized with the urgent need to murder somebody. Then I work out how to murder them, and who will take the rap, that takes some planning. If they get past that hurdle I need only a motive, red herrings, oh, and around thirty thousand extra words of story
Pass the cream, if you're not going to use it, I have a slice of apple pie here begging to be eaten
I really do miss hugs. Being hugged - I can understand those booths selling hugs, although I'd never go near one because a hug has to mean more than a dollar spent.
But that's what I miss. Love is not enough. My life needs plenty of good rib-cracking squeezes
TEFL has challenged my knowledge of English and I never suspected the language included so much grammar but the modules are done and dusted, now eyeing my first assignment a bit nervously. Okay, a lot nervously.
I really, really, really wanted to be on line at the same time as you because I've been hunting down dancing bananas for you and you'll love them. LOVE them.
Well, our time will come. In the meantime, a wee Scottish laddie for you, just as a teaser, ken?
Map, that's part of my problem, 90% of music does sound jangly and irritating. But the bulldog's rumbling snores and the passing traffic also irritate hell out of me.
Molly, oh aye, they will have been tested by the school, that bit assumed that they were tested and grouped and now I work in the door and want to test them again? And yet as a new teacher I HAVE to know where they are. So it is enthralling and gripping ways of finding out without trying their patience.
I have an imminent job interview to teach English on line which is why I am rushing through the last modules
It will be badly paid, at a guess - agency ones always are - but if I can get it, extremely handy experience, eh?
Que? I should have said. Probably with an upside-down question mark if we were really getting fancy.
Surveyor reporting for duty
Molly, become a rich man's darling and live in the lifestyle to which you will rapidly become accustomed. Better?Oh, I'd like that myself -
