Murder or self defence -

KN, things go in fashions, once one house gets an alarm it only takes one incident elsewhere and everyone gets alarms. I was in Bremen not that long ago (and got my passport stolen) and parts of it were lovely and parts of it had bars and "armed response" signs up so maybe these things also go in areas?

From what I've read (which isn't a huge amount, because the media is slipping off facts and into emotions) this happened in a particular area which is getting a lot worse.

GG, I hate it when victims are battered and terrorised.

I also feel when one is a career criminal with a history of doing this stuff, it's because he wants to. Easy pickings. It's no longer the needy but the greedy.

Grrr

Murder or self defence -

Molly, I'm SHOCKED.

In this cornah, we have Battling Billy, who is competing to take everything Old Joe has ever managed to accumulate for his old age!

In this cornah, we have Old Joe, who despite his 40 year handicap has the motivation of fighting for everything he owns, let's give him a cheer, folks!

When does the next spaceship leave the planet? And where can I buy tickets?

Murder or self defence -

Itchy, we're on the same page with this one, that the police could even say they were considering murder charges made me want to pop with indignation! Oh well. We live in a strange world.

Murder or self defence -

1to1, I think you should take strength from the incident, not many of us get the chance to KNOW how we'd react when the chips are down!

Murder or self defence -

will we ever forget this scene - so calm -

Murder or self defence -

Grouchy, I admire him too. But I think he is going to be made to regret it. blues

BA, the type who thought they'd picked someone who would quiver and shake and beg them not to hurt him. In the classic words of Dad's Army, they don't like it up 'em.

Bullies. Love 'em.

switching computers and may pause in between for coffee and something to eat because right now it is 15h45 and breakfast is definitely overdue and I could eat my own foot.

Mimi and Pat, not sure you're taking this discussion seriously scold

rolling on the floor laughing

Murder or self defence -

Z, the way things are going in the UK, I feel your expectations might find themselves at slight odds with the authorities rolling on the floor laughing

But yeah, I bet the authorities left him and his wife to clean up. Sheesh. mumbling

When you don't have the words ...

Mic, absolutely ideal, I shall start teaching manners-around-dogs as well as English. You're quite right, nothing teaches quite so fast as shocking experience laugh

When you don't have the words ...

Luke, so long as you were with me, not against me, I'd have held your hat and cheered you on.

If against me, I'd have no alternative but to set the dog on you laugh Vat hom, Fluffy, vat hom!

RE: Good Morning from a New Boomer in Orlando

Welcome to the blogs handshake

When you don't have the words ...

02h30 here, and I'm off to a second-hand furniture market (in Almunecar, Molly, you'll know it laugh) in the morning so that's me over and out for the night

laugh

When you don't have the words ...

GG, he was a very unattractive specimen and won't be getting any winks from me - very swarthy, bent, and with what looked like a permanently disagreeable expression. I keep calling him a grandpa but he could have been any age between a well-worn 50 and a lightly-used 80 - he's been old a long time, though. Some people age very young.

I would be enraged by people who let their dogs mess on my property, have you considered a pellet gun? devil

(I'm serious)

(for the owners, not the dogs!)

RE: "UNDERSTANDING MAN"..(79)

Well, I'm not too worried about it. I know two couples who got together when late in their sixties and are having a great time. One's been going 5 years now, they're together every weekend and go on holidays and are now in their 70s. The other is 4 years. College sweethearts who met again

Maybe we're still too young, Nam, that's the problem.

RE: "UNDERSTANDING MAN"..(79)

Well, that was true enough when I first joined CS and the last thing on my mind was meeting someone, I thought I was done with all that sort of stuff. So colour me surprised when I did and it was fun

Now I tend to look at every man I meet in a speculative way - hmmmmmmmmmmmm - so stopping looking could take a while laugh

RE: I'm thinking of getting a dishwasher.

or buying paper plates

I hate washing dishes, I'm not a very good cook, and I have been known to snort not only when I laugh but in my sleep.

I guess this means our desperate flirtation is heading for the rocks.

crying

RE: Links.

How dare you, sir. Why, I have umpteen links supporting my every point of view, or I would have if I ever had a point of view of my own. Huh.

snooty

RE: "UNDERSTANDING MAN"..(79)

Nam, no, not getting married - I posted that blog at one minute past midnight on April Fools Day

Can't even get me a bigamist. sigh

Now you crazy young things run off and have fun, 'kay?

Using more than 5 punctuation marks is a sign of serious mental illness, nip that in the bud professor

When you don't have the words ...

Pat, good grief, you're right, her face IS black and white!! doh

All is explained.

Buried, WHY????????????

They do look like a dairy herd, not beef, but even so, they would have filled a lot of freezers!

Oh, I wasn't implying insurance fraud, I just remembered that story when I read yours. The photo of the lightning is beautiful and elemental and now a bit scary.

When you don't have the words ...

Wen, I think it's great that grandparents are tending to be more involved with their grandchildren again, there was a period when it was visits only and there's a huge amount of tolerance and wisdom and communication in inter-generational interaction.

But he wasn't a very careful grandpa, in my opinion! Falling down on the job. Maybe he was new to it, he needs to learn fast.

When you don't have the words ...

Bloody, I grew up among dogs and was snapped at, or shown warning teeth, when I was being a pest. A dog that bites the child of the 'pack' is unusual - perhaps as well Micha took on the pit bulls. hug

When you don't have the words ...

mind, not mine sigh

When you don't have the words ...

School's out for the day, yay but 2 nice bunches of pupils, I must write out 100 times I should not complain and then 100 times I need the money, grin grin and bear it

Should be going shopping now but it is bucketing with rain in sunny Spain at the moment, I'll wait until it stops and the sun comes out

When you don't have the words ...

Off to school, back later with coffee. Talk among yourselves about modern children or selfish dog owners with attitude, whatever.
