Got my dozen

Naivete, remind me again of the different countries you have lived in? laugh

Home is where you hang your hat.

Got my dozen

Map, hmmm, specializing? confused

You could have something, at that. I mean up to now I have been specializing in writers and similar but there could be biiiiiig money in your suggestion!

And the desks could be operating tables - one sheet of plastic and Bob's your uncle.

(Snip snip and Bob's your auntie)

But Z I could corner the market on Zulu tourists laugh

Got my dozen

Map, don't tell a soul but the sarong is only when there are guests around or potential visitors. The rest of the time - well, I have 12 foot walls. What do you think? laugh

One of my guests came here from a month in Granada, he said it was blissfully cool here so eek, could I visit around, hmm, what's October like?

Got my dozen

laugh hug AND predictable rolling on the floor laughing

Mimi, are you implying I'm no longer a cutiepie?

wow

rolling on the floor laughing

Got my dozen

Molly, either I'll have to come collect it or you will have to deliver it cheering

Got my dozen

Found this photo from the Kloof days. Good times.

Embedded image from another site

Got my dozen

Fay, I'd have to say Kloof, in Natal South Africa, but the why may have a lot to do with the fact I was a very spoiled and cossetted little girl at the time laugh

Got my dozen

Molly, not been to Ireland, I can't claim an Irish gaelic - that was Scottish. And I had to look up how to spell it anyway since it doesn't sound anything like the way it's spelled!!

Got my dozen

Mimi, I still haven't got aircon but it has moved a lot further up the list now that I am experiencing my first full-on summer laugh

But yeah, nearly a year since we all met up in Motril wow

Got my dozen

About 5 hols in Spain itself over the last 5 years, TR, and nearly as many in Spanish-speaking territories. Once I got over the initial strangeness of it, though, it's a lot more like Africa than Scotland is, it started feeling oddly familiar

cool

RE: Trump FINALLY admits collusion !

Vier - the issue was not the meeting. As Trump's team are now saying every hour on the hour, collusion is not a crime.

The issue was the vehement hand-on-heart look-you-straight-in-the-eye lying about the meeting.

RE: Back From A Long Journey.

Mimi, you are PSYCHIC!

cheering

RE: Back From A Long Journey.

Cat, you have no idea how painful some bloggers can be. We got a whole new bunch. Some are wonderful. Some are - omigod. laugh

Mimi, guess what I'm wearing grin

RE: Back From A Long Journey.

I do prefer my hugs one on one but go on then laugh

group hug

RE: Back From A Long Journey.

The best thing about hugs? Two, three, four, even more, a day, no problem grin

RE: The Book of Destiny

Destiny cannot be denied and will come and find you.

Whether you lock the door and hide behind the couch, or run away from it, oh well, that's a different debate.

RE: The California Straw Ban

So, getting this straight -

cutting down on usage of non-biodegradable-plastic BAD
throwing away lots and lots of non-biodegradable-plastic GOOD

Well, why not. It's a well-known fact that anything put into a trash can turns to fairy dust. It's actually fairly magical.

You can quote me.

RE: The California Straw Ban

Conrad, I've never seen anyone get so upset over someone trying to take away his plastic straw. Is it really life or death to you?

Does it matter so much?

Molly, don't tell anyone but uh oh they've taken on a life of their own.

That's normal, right? Right?

So they're just characters, make it up ... I picked some specific comments about my characters from my Amazon USA reviews to show how cross my readers can get with me. uh oh - you can never please all readers all the time. Each of the books slammed below also got good reviews.

If I had to complain about something, it would be that I just couldn't warm up to Donald (3 4) /// I love this series, so it truly pains me to say how much I disliked this book. (7 8) There would be only one reason to read it, and that would be to discover who Edge ends up with in the end /// I did enjoy the book (9 10), but I enjoyed by ignoring the parts I didn't care for, because I am invested in the characters after reading the first 4 books. I was glad to see the romance /// I have been wild about this series since I read the first book. However I can't recommend this one (11 12) to new readers /// Sorry lost me completely, this the the last book (11 12) I'll read by the author. I really enjoyed the series up to now. So for those people, I got it wrong. dunno

And readers do follow the characters as much as the stories -
I look forward to each new one and I miss the characters when I'm not reading about them. They are dear friends I would love to know in real life. /// The old characters are wonderful as always and the new ones are so well drawn that you either love or loathe them within minutes. /// .. while experiencing life as mature and vital people .. /// engaging and authentic /// I never put one of your books down unless I fall asleep. I stay so caught up in the lives of the characters. /// And no spoilers, but you'll laugh out loud at some of the character interaction. The friends feel so real to me now I want to go to Edinburgh to meet them. /// spirited, experienced and interesting people who are not afraid to be themselves. /// finally get their act together, praise the Lord.

Robrt, old son, where have you been? Are you anywhere near LJ? Is California a big place? rolling on the floor laughing And listen, that woman - I'm a little worried. Old Anglo-saxon tradition was to bury the dead with pennies on their eyes, so they had money to hand to pay the ferryman as he ferried them across the river of death. So if anyone is offering to take pennies off for you - check those pennies aren't on their eyes, and they're definitely alive Okay? uh oh

Emmy, both of them are now around our age laugh

Naivete, I suppose I could. I never have yet. Some readers get really quite het up in their reviews, and tick me off, so I want to keep it "real" all the way to the final wire laugh

Annlee, I never had a 'date night' setup, but I think it's a really good idea and if I ever do have a long-term relationship, that's going to be written into the understanding. Both of us all spruced up, bright-eyed and focusing only on each other, that would have to be worth trying!

Daears, I think whoever staggers out of bed first to make the coffee could drop the penny in the jar next to the kettle? laugh

Usha, they empty from the second year laugh and yup, looking at the early stats on the poll it may be too much to ask uh oh a lot of the male stats are asking if we want quality or quantity? Maybe that's what they're asking, anyway. You know stats, they can be twisted to read anything you want
