Well there you ARE! ( thought you didn’t love me anymore ) I’m probably going to finish the Cabernet. I do have a bottle of Merlot for back- up...don’t like to switch drinks on the same day, but, he’ll, it’s an EMERGENCY!
Kind of a “ slam dunk” that Biden WILL be ether ( uh, he WON..) but I would be the first to say “ duh” ANY thing would be better. No longer about ‘ party’—it’s become about behavior, class, maturity...dog gone it— I was more than willing to give Don an enthusiastic chance— but he just didn’t make the integrity mark...I’m disappointed.
Bump already— well, those Holiday drinks lost out to Cabernet Sauvignon— pouring second glass in a New York minute— its 240 pm here; almost time for Judge Judy. ( gotta be a bit happy to watch it... )
I have to wait a bit— I have a personal rule of not drinking alcohol before Noon...( really..not kidding) I’m thinking hot buttered rum or brandy, or a Tom and Jerry...
Oh, but the irony of ConnectingSingles! (If you “ connect” in the strictest sense, then you’re not single anymore!)
[[Lawyers argue the law isn’t fair; the law argues lawyers aren’t fair...The Medical Profession exists to eliminate it being needful...life is full of irony.. ]]
It’s a free and convenient way to canvas the globe and see what a variety of people think and believe, and why. Might sound a bit naive, but also has been a very good way of meeting some awesome folks, albeit online..it’s generally been a positive experience for me, and the beauty of it? You can just walk away if it isn’t groovy...
Satin sheets to lie on, satin pillows to cry on... Still, I’m not happy, don’t you see.. Big lawn, Cadillac, tailor- mades upon my back.. Still...I want you to set me free.....
May I make a suggestion? Btw— so cool of you to be thinking along those lines right now...do you have a favorite organization? { mine are The Humane Society, Henry Street Settlement - NYC, and The Episcopal Laymens’ Society}. All these, and similar, generally are responsible with funds. You can find out most groups financial use— for example, a non profit here sends to anyone who asks, a spreadsheet like, “Administrative costs and salaries 17%, Materials and utilities 23%, Direct Client Services 58%, misc. 2%.” Just a thought...blessings
Policies will be in place for there to be written/ agreed- upon contracts for intimacy of any kind, to avoid “ he said/ she said “complaints and/ or buyers remorse. It will be possible to date without a contract, but it will be akin to driving uninsured. People will go for it for awhile, but it won’t last.
Warm house, plenty of groceries and sundries, steady pension, durable fully titled automobile, great friends and family, beaches nearby, small- town comfortable living, beautiful little kitten, yeah, it’s good...( thanks for this thread. It’s good to reflect on positive things in life..)
Probably the most notable of this ilk is the Betty Broderick story. She planned a home invasion of her ex- husband and new wife, at night, crept into their bedroom and shot them both in cold blood. I will never understand why people can’t just walk away. If He doesn’t want you, NOTHING will change it...move on...what is the matter with people? Also, that Dr. Tarnower(?) affair...his lover killed him, too...honestly, how in the world do people think any vengeance will help?
Sub- cultures everywhere, people disregarding laws, in spite of my desire to stay/ be optimistic, I see scenario similar to the movie “ Soylent Green”. Perhaps not, let’s hope not. Hint: there are too many people for the planet to support. We are wasteful. The ocean is chocked full of debris. Acres and acres of rusting cars, stoves, refrigerators, computers, old television sets, furniture, and so on. (There are only so many resources to be harvested from Mother Earth. It’s not endless..) we need a complete restructuring of how we live if we are going to prevent this. And, we’re sorely, sorely behind. It’s a fact.
Oh Karlorado, that sounds super— my church is inactive, but we are doing a live- stream on the 23 rd. I videotaped carols for them. I can’t wait for this dang thing to be over, but soldiering on and grateful my life and circumstances are stable and I have enough of everything, a good income, cool pad, car, kitten....
Yes. Our red flags, as they are sometimes called, are there for a reason. Not to be cynical, and going somewhat against the adage, “ Don’t judge a book by the cover”, I frequently know within a few short minutes whether somebody is “ cool” or not. Seems I’m right every time...now that doesn’t mean I can’t or won’t give people a fair chance ( and I DO) but there are times when my clear gut reaction is “ keep your distance from this goofball/@$$hole/pos...and I trust that energy. It’s there for a reason, like I said.
