I was an Education Major, but I never completed my degree.
There really are Two Americas, when it comes to education, since most public schools are primarily funded by property taxes. If you remove the standardized test scores of poor inner city, and rural areas, the U.S. still ranks near the top in World comparisons.
The biggest problem, is probably that many teachers, for various reasons no longer have the power to rule thier classrooms; too many parents suing, the schools over nonsense, etc. Teachers have to spend more time documenting everything to protect themselves from lawsuits, they scarcly have time to be educators.
I don't know....my ex would often start giving me excuses about stuff that I never asked about. I would immediately get suspicious, and think she had a guilty conscience. Turns out she did. And, I would have never known a thing if she had just kept he mouth shut.
The person above me suffers from a strange combination of Bell's Palsy and muscle dysmorphia that causes them to only work out one side of their face. It's crazy!
