I think most people here had the same intention, to meet someone. Some have met their half either here in CS or in real life, but stay because of the forum, just to interact. Some have given up finding someone here, perhaps because of the distance or other reasons. My reason for staying is to relax with the puzzles and games. CS offers many options you don’t see on other “dating” sites.
My purchase is a legal copy, it's a one-time purchase, no monthly fees. After installing it, I activate it online. 18$ it's not a lot of money, it's like one dinner. My copy of office 2010 cost me 16$ back in 2012.
The only benefit working for an authority, is to be able to buy MS Office cheap.
English is my third language. First, second or third shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone here on CS. After all, this is an international site. People who feels more comfortable with English spoken people, should perhaps look for English spoken sites or domestic sites.

The European Union is considering requiring Americans and Canadians to apply for visas, even if they only want to come for a short break.
So why the tougher line? European officials say they may suspend a visa waiver program for the U.S. and Canada because they still require citizens of some EU countries to apply for a visa.
While Americans and Canadians only need a passport when visiting the EU, visitors to the U.S. from Poland, Croatia, Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania need a visa. Romanians and Bulgarians also need visas for Canada.
