I think the police here probably are looking, but you'd get a job doing something else a lot faster, and make more money. Plus, less chance of having to taser people when they get off planes, or sleeping, or wear riot gear and club hippy chicks. Unless you like that sort of thing.
Oh, would you prefer some other big silent thing staring at you?
I still have my TV, it sat in my shed for 6/7 years, then my Mom's basement, and now it's in the back of my big truck. I sure hope it still works when I finally plug it in again, someday. I refuse to buy a flat screen until I know it's dead, and even then it's iffy.
Yep, painting, as well as a few other monotonous tasks around the house. I started, and just kept going, I probably won't feel like doing it again for a while.
Probably will anyway though.
Funny, the last time I bought a newspaper was to wrap my dishes four years ago, and haven't watched TV regularly in over a decade.
All I get are the happy stories about lost monkeys and socks being recovered from dryers.
Ahh, Toronto, my home planet, the center of the Universe.
Quite a few of my friends are of Irish descent, some first generation, and a couple born in Ireland. I've met some that are here for work, and a few have mentioned likely staying permanently, if they can ever get used to the brutal Alberta winters.
Thought I'd mention one other thing, I don't think he was ever "run off" of any forum, even though he had his fair share of critics. He may have been given a forced holiday from the forums, but that's another matter.
He had a hide like an old washing machine, tough! I don't think the harrassment bothered him as much as some might like to believe.
That would be Gillyloves69 if I remember the spelling of his user name correctly.
I actually miss his polls, they were better than most of the polls we have here now, they were at least humourous.
Too many are taking the polls seriously on here, like they actually have some merit. I miss when there were no polls at all, everything was an actual thread, and usually promoted better conversation than a poll ever could.
RE: Where the next CS meet should be held...?
You're more than half way to being Canadian already, just learn the anthem, be prepared to kiss a cod and whack a baby seal and you're in.Or just come out west, we're a little more civilised here.
