I'm sure that some do, others don't like that he doesn't belong to their party, club, cult, or isn't pandering to their desires. The list is endless of people that hate for whatever reason, and the next president will be in the same boat, regardless of who it is.
Obama did a lot better than what I expected when he was elected 4 years ago, considering the mess he inherited. Not just two wars, but also the promises made by the previous administration, bailouts, or handouts, whichever term you prefer.
What did people expect, a miracle, a saviour, someone to fix all their problems in a few years? There are no saviours, and if some people think that voting Romney into office will cure all that ails them, they're sadly mistaken.
Why are so many looking for instant gratification, rather than working towards something, together? It's not all about winning, especially when in the end, everyone loses.
I don't think it's any one single thing, seeing as we all have different tastes. I suspect for most men, it would be whatever qualities they like that makes their thermometer rise.
Nothing has changed in the nearly 6 years I've been on the site. There has always been a roving pack of right wing jackals, even when Dubya was still in office.
One thing I don't understand is their sheer arrogance, like they're the only ones that know what's best for the country. Even when they do wrong, it's not wrong to them, and even if it was wrong, it's always the other guy's fault.
I think the concept of risking everything for love is a romantically immature gesture, when its perfectly possible to love people whilst having a life infrastructure that's flexible enough to cope with a number of possible eventualities.
I also think its a gesture which is used as a tool of manipulation in a "I've risked everything for you, I'll have nothing if you leave me, you have to stay with me" kind of a way.
Would it be a loving gesture to put another person in a situation where they might be at risk?[/quote]
Whaddaya mean, like suspended from the ceiling in some sort of harness?
Odd, I know hundreds of Finnish people, including my whole family, and not one has ever murdered anyone out of jealousy after a split. Nor has any extended family, or friends of the family.
I've never had those sort of feelings myself either, so I don't know where you get the idea that it's a part of a entire nation's psyche.
I've met people from the site in person, and they've all been pretty much the same as they are online. Only difference being they're talking instead of typing.
RE: Bored
Wouldn't a liver be necrophelia, in a way? Ewwwww...I need both hands as it is, but two more might make things interesting.
Before anyone gets any funny ideas....female hands.
