There seems this perception that if one puts an elderly relative in a nursing home, they are simply being discarded out of convenience....?
No doubt, some may do. But, surely, your mother is in the best place? If they are worth their salt, she will be provided with the round-the-clock attention and care she needs, provided by those who are highly trained in what they do. How can that be a bad thing?
If you have her home, simply out of guilt or a feeling or duty, and what you can provide for her is inadequate in comparison.... how is that in HER best interest?!
Some members just get so many mails/flowers they can't possibly respond to all.
I have responded politely and have received unsavoury comments as a result. Though I do try to reply where I possibly can, its just manners. But.... its not always possible.
That said, not everyone's code of conduct will be the same as yours. The bottom line is that just because you haven't received the acknowledgement you expected, doesn't mean that it wasn't considered an approrpiate way of dealing with it by the other person?
I, for one, am glad we don't all deal with things in exactly the same way...?! How boring would that be?!
There doesn't seem to be much of it about these days, no. But I am selective as to who I associate with. Therefore, ALL my friends have an abundance of integrity, they wouldn't be my friends otherwise.....
Yes, some storms are just awesome. Exciting and invigorating when happening and then the coolness and refreshing air when over.... almost as though the Earth has been "cleansed"?
No, as long as the commitment is mutual and to an equal degree on both sides, one does not need to be married. Its only when the commitment is disproportionate on either side, it may eventually become a problem.... married or not.
They do seem to have become tiresome, yes. Its evident that some just post randomly without giving much definitive thought beforehand, but then that's nothing new on CS!
My reason initially was to find someone, yes. That was probably a little over 3 years ago. Eventually, gave up! Just stayed for friends and larking about on the Forums....
Then, it appeared, HE found ME!!
I am still here for the odd posting here and there, for now....
RE: Songs for your mood right now
I particularly like the last one......
"Life is drawing without an eraser..."
This is rather upbeat and inspiring. If you are having a down-day, I do hope this cheers you.... at least a little?!
