Upspeak also, that's kind of irritating. It's like turning every statement into a question. Maybe a sign of lack of confidence, almost seeking affirmation for what is said.
It's like you will believe me more if I like talk like this.

Dont even get me on the topic of like the overuse of the word like.....laugh

RE: broken heart

I remember talking to a friend in the pub one night. He's a local coroner, I asked him did he think people die of a broken heart. He said although it's never listed as a cause of death, in his opinion people do die of a broken heart, but it would be recorded as natural causes. He ecplained, so many times, when one of the partners in a very long term relationship dies, the other partner dies quite soon afterwards showing no obvious cause death. He told me, this would be recorded as natural causes, but really they had died of a broken heart, it is very common he told me with a sigh.

A track from Desire, many consider this to be his best album.

Mozambique

"I like to spend some time in Mozambique
The sunny sky is aqua blue
And all the couples dancing cheek to cheek
It's very nice to stay a week or two
And maybe fall in love, just me and you."

RE: Is it possible to Love somebody but not RESPECT him/her?

He certainly is too....

cheers

RE: Is it possible to Love somebody but not RESPECT him/her?

To love someone and for them to love us as you say, for me amounts to a two way agreement supported by various forms of attachment, or even projections. Respect however does not really need to be reciprocal to be genuine. I believe respect and emotional love can exist separately, one does not depend on the other.

RE: Is it possible to Love somebody but not RESPECT him/her?

I'm not sure there are levels of respect,, I believe the respect you give to a stranger for their actions or words is the same as the respect you may give to someone who is much closer.
To respect is to accept .

RE: Is it possible to Love somebody but not RESPECT him/her?

The word respect comes from the Latin, re-spectum, which means look again or look more carefully. If we look close enough we will find almost all people can be shown respect one way or another. Just as we find respect for a person, we can also find love for them if we take time to allow it.
Hatred and dislike however arise much too easily to those predisposed to such negative emotions and really should always be guarded against.

RE: Gut feelings.....

I certainly miss sharing music videos with him, we had similar tastes.

RE: Johnny Cash - Hurt

What do you think?

The original by Nine Inch Nails.....

Johnny Cash's cover version....

RE: Johnny Cash - Hurt

A haunting song originally written and realeased by Nine Inc Nails. Trent Reznor commented, "when Johnny Cash covers one of your songs, it becomes a Johnny Cash song."

I've never been able to decide which version I prefer, they are both quite different.

RE: The Logical Song

'Please tell me who I am.'

That's the question Roger Hodgson is asking in the song as he lambasts the education system for ignoring the most important questions in life.

A great song....thumbs up

RE: Music game

Wild Man Fischer.... Merry go Round

Just Dylan

He's still putting out amazing stuff and still on The Everlasting Tour, on the road at eighty years young.
His 2020 album, Rough and Rowdy Ways was acclaimed as one of his best, and the single taken from it Murder Most Foul, despite being almost seventeen minutes long reached number one in the US Billboard Charts and has provided great discussion amongst fans and followers of contemporary music.....

Just Dylan

Another love song, this one from 1969

Lay Lady Lay (alternative version)

Just Dylan

Will there ever be a more influential and prolific singer-songwriter?

From 1963, and he's still writing masterpieces......

"Then they'll raise their hands
Sayin' we'll meet all your demands
But we'll shout from the bow your days are numbered
And like Pharaoh's tribe
They'll be drownded in the tide
And like Goliath, they'll be conquered"

.

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

Haha, a thumbs down......probably from someone who hasn't listened to the lyrics and doesn't realise its a song about a lost love and a broken heart.

RE: What are men looking for over 50 years of age?

"A man needs a maid,
Just someone to keep my house clean,
fix my meals and go away.

When will I see you again"........sad flower

RE: Should dogs live in apartments?

Do they shout at you for licking your balls?
